Oh good, lets blame Leliana for bad writing. Not to mention Haven is what makes her truly ready for Corypheus, in fact its the case for everyone. After Haven she has plans for every move Corypheus makes and successfully discovers all of Corypheus's movements.

 

Corypheus fooled chantry's BEST AND BRIGHTEST at haven. Where was Cassandra when Divine needed her protection? See? I can blame anyone for such things, but I don't. You shouldn't either.

*snorts* she's a sorry spy ring leader that the plot saddles me with, her numerous failures are only utterly compounded by the plot not being effected in the least by it due to the PC saving the day.

And yet do we get to point out her numerous failures that result the PC having to personally intervene each and every time? No.

Is there anyone who likes both Cassandra and Leliana? I feel like both of them are needed. They were the best combination of right and left hand of the divine respectively.

Why not? Really, how do we know that it's bad writing? For all we know it was intentional....

No one is perfect. Just because a character has faults, you can't blame it on bad writing because you have a high opinion of said character and would rather them not make moronic mistakes.

Leliana discovers Corypheus's plan to invade the elven temple. That alone is quite significant. But feel free to ignore it if you must. Cullen and Inquisition Army didn't fair any better against Corypheus. 

 

Also the PC is a snowflake, that doesn't count. If I didn't know any better I'd say you sided with mages. Because if you side with Templars, Leliana helps A LOT with tracking Calpernia and venatori.

No one is perfect. Just because a character has faults, you can't blame it on bad writing because you have a high opinion of said character and would rather them not make moronic mistakes.

That would have ruined EVERYONES first playthrough. She cannot know everything.

Of note, if you read the codex entries for both Blackwall and Solas, Leliana was aware that there were some inconsistencies/lack of information on the two however, given the world was coming apart she let it slide.

You gotta admit, a character suffering because of bad writing isn't an excuse, it's a canon mistake on her part that makes her not as capable as the writers may have intended.

 

They at least gave you the chance to berate her for the failure though, lol, I'll give them that. And yes Leliana improves indeed.

 

As for where Cassandra was, Cass isn't the one that's supposed to be all seeing and all hearing, but anyway, she's the right hand. She was attending business on her behalf. If Justinia wanted her by her side 24/7, then she would have been. But that's what guards and templars are for. Better question, how'd Leliana let wardens and a giant ugly darkspawn slip in, being the spymaster of Justinia and having eyes and ears everywhere.

She is the only reason in hushed whispers can be completed. She finds a way inside, her agents kill the venatori and she makes the ultimate sacrifice and SAVES THE ENTIRE WORLD.

You can foresee an army marching directly towards you though, lol.

No one is exactly looking. The breach is closed and haven is celebrating. Where are the soldiers keeping watch? We should blame Cullen as well.

In Hushed Whisper is ridiculous, she had a entire squad of assassins and still lost to Alexius, her incompetence knows no bound. And you can only find that the Venatori have spies in Skyhold if you make the alliance with the Qun.

Tell that to the guard who was killed trying to defend Josephine from a Assassin of the Repose.

My fault? She was the one who send me after Blackwall and the one who should have checked Solas background, its her damm job.

Lets not forget about she retreating her scouts and opening the way to Corypheus to launch a Surprise attack against Haven, or killing a unarmed Chantry sister even when being told to spare her, because if someone find her it will not hurt the Inquisition at all.

What Vivienne have to do with Leliana? Are you seriously trying to change the subject because you cant defend Leliana? i really dont care if you dont like Vivienne, you can hate her all you want.
