I really like fighting in urban areas and enclosed spaces - and that's two of the things that I really liked about ME2 and ME3. Fighting Geth on planets in ME1 I didn't really enjoy. If the exploration was like using the jump-pack/jetpack things from the trailer to explore a city on Illium trying to track down some mercs back to their HQ, I'd love that. If the exploration was, "Drive the Mako to find some minerals", I'd probably stop playing. And if you have to drive the Mako to a mission location like in ME1 I will literally swear. If it's just for some side missions, sure. But making you drive it to every mission no matter what was ridiculous and tedious. I don't think they should just have exploration for the sake of exploration. There needs to be something to find, something meaningful to track down to the story rather than "Yay some minerals". If your exploration means something, then I'll like it, I think. If it's just a showcase of, "Here's the new game engine" then I will hate it.
Anyone else hoping that ME:A is nothing like DA:I?

And yeah, my main problem with Dragon Age Inquisition is that there's too much to do and most of them are just so repetitive. It was partly the same in Mass Effect 3 with the "Go to X system and collect this relic" every time I went to the Citadel. I ended up with a tonne of missions open and only maybe two out of eight actually did something important?
Skyrim's exploration I actually like. There's random encounters and creatures and dungeons and villages and a tonne of things to do, etc. But Dragon Age Inquisition, for me, basically went, "Okay here's a big space and thousands of portals to close! Have fun!". Open world games kind of annoy me when they do that. What's the point in being free to explore and free-roam when you don't want to do it because everything is the same? I've been playing Batman: Arkham City a lot recently and I actually quite like the free-roaming elements to that, because there are thugs to beat up, side quests to do and trophies to collect. But on ME1, for example, you land on a planet to explore and there's NOTHING to do 99% of the time.

My opinion is that my 630+ hrs of gameplay has been enjoyable, and continues to grow. And DAI does have some quests that are not relevant for my gameplay. That said, it may have appeal to others for a variety of reasons; none of which are invalid simply because I or some other Player does not enjoy them.
And no; the final statement in the previous post is not a fact. It is supposition.

And if they have multiplayer which is ANYTHING similar to DA:I, I will also be VERY unhappy. And rage forever. Like literally forever. You will hear my echoes of rage... ECHOING through time and space and afterlife and everything else and everything will BURN.

In the end, the post-release of DAI hype/reputation isn't on par for what you may expect for a game that literally swept the entire 2014 calender of videogames in terms of GOTY Awards. That isn't opinion, but fact.
Bioware will be smart to convince us that ME:A is it's own entity and not a continuation of DAI's failed approach.

I want the Mad Max world to be awesome
I actually hope it is, too. I don't know what to expect from a movie tie-in, per se, but that was the best film I've seen in two years, and the first film in ten that I saw more than twice at the theater.

I was actually referring to the fire planet in the ME:A trailer
I'm calling it the Mad Max world because it had a fire tornado lol ![]()

Thing is, the gameplay for Mass Effect will be so different from any Dragon Age game that it wouldn't really be fair to compare the multiplayer. I never really thought that DA's combat was really suited for multiplayer to start with, and when I fired it up, I pretty much got what I expected.

And also the character unlocking-thingy in ME3 was far superior to DA:I's multiplayer.
I was actually quite disappointed in the trailer. Just saying.
Um, I missed the two steps from hell. And they replaced it with a TERRIBLE song. Like "wtf is this" kind of song. I don't even know what it's called or who its by but it was HORRIBLE AND IT MADE ME SAD.
And then came the screenshots of worlds. And I was like, "Huh, yeah, they look pretty cool, but it's a shame the guy chose the most boring place imaginable and still terrible music and urgh exploration".
And then things got a little better.
And I realised that I would have preferred the trailer if the last minute or so had been stretched to three minutes.
And two steps from hell playing.
And maybe something meaningful rather than "Oh yeah here's some screenshots and some terrible music".

Lol and what is that supposed to mean? My point was that despite the success of DAI, there remains many criticisms. Those websites gave the game great praises, but they also point out some of the faults of the game. THAT is what I was referring to, you just turned it into something that you wanted it to be in order for you to come back with a failed wity response. You try to make it seem just because an outlet gave the game a great score and a thumbs up, that the game is free from flaws and free from criticism and free from things that weren't entirely top quality. I can get a positive evaulation at work, but that does not mean that my supervisor (as well as peers) may not also understand that I have some faults that needs to be addressed moving forward.
Point was, DAI despite the financial and review score success has many problems (such as pacing, fetch quest, and open worlds) that needs to be addressed in DA4 and needs to be refined in games like ME:A. In that, that is why I hope ME:A is nothing like DAI.
Nice try though.
