I like the idea, but they need to take it further, if the way you do things outrages a companion, the companion needs to walk away, forever, it is to damn easy in these games to keep a companion, an i dont mean a dialogue option for the pc, i mean the actually companion themselves telling you "hey this wasnt a good idea.....bye"

I preferred the KOTOR system of companions, some like you due to actions some dont, what i didnt like was the ones that didnt like you sticking around moaning

BioWare needs to make your actions have consequences, and the companions is the best place to start

I don't care about bonuses so much as Loyalty indicates there'd be stronger focus on character based stories, like ME2. That's all I really want.

I don't care about their main plots that much... because they aren't that great anyways. Frankly, they f*cking suck.  It's just something I slog through. Characters, however, and general world building? This they do well.

I would rather the companions actually be part of the plot in some sense. That's what really turned me off about DA:I. Outside of Cassandra, really everyone else was superflorous, in that you could skip them, and not even know something was missing. It's also my main contention with ME:2, some of the people on the TIM's list really didn't need to be there, and some people on the list, needed more oomph for their presence.

"Be nice to me or we won't talk?"

That doesn't mean the concept was wrong, it means the writing was ****. The mechanic is a good one because it's more realistic. Accompanied with better writing and it would be the perfect solution.
