reading between the lines, snd I may well be wrong, but this seems like a way for people who are still playing to save up heaps of gold for a DLC thats about ready to drop...

I sort of doubt it.  If you lurk on this forum as much as I do and pick up on the little bits of info about the beta program... I don't think it is in a shippable state. (why would it be it only has like what 6 beta testers?)

Well, lets see here....we know they are going to be releasing daily challenges for the first time. Said daily challenges will be finished by Sunday, July 5th.

I don't think assuming they may be ramping up for a DLC drop on the following Tuesday, July 7th is ludicrous. Gives incentive for players to keep grinding till new content is available.

Could be wishful thinking, though.

Or they could get people to be playing daily instead of:

lol.  This was my first thought when I saw the daily challenges.  I think they obviously see that there is more activity on the weekends and may be trying to figure out how to boost that activity on the weekdays.

Ouch!

Well, you've just put me & my partner off playing this weekend entirely. I can't see getting through the falling down challenge at all, and that many points is just off-putting. Some of us have lives outside of videogames! Enjoy catering to the hardcore/l33t crowd, because you've just wiped away the casuals. (We don't have a clan/group of PS4 friends, and getting a PUG of the 2nd/3rd tiers is rare enough - and those few games you do are usually made up of morons trying to be carried and PLed.)

How does the undying community challenge work exactly? Does it count every player who completes an operation without dying individually or do we need to complete games without anyone dying for it to count?

Some clarification;

Undying is running this weekend only.

Match points is running until the 6th.

Dragon kills runs to the 6th.

There will be a week long challenge starting on the 30th to 6th.

There will be multiple daily challenges starting on the 30th to 6th.

:D

Thanks for the clarification, but it would probably be good if it didn't say "this weekend only" in the game ;)

You need to complete with no one going down

Are you sure? The challenge description says "As a community, 3000 agents complete matches without being knocked down" while the personal challenge says "Complete n matches without any agent in the party being knocked down." That kinda leads me to believe that the community one is different from the personal one.

Undying was individual players the first time around, don't see why it would be different when it's called undying II now.

Optional challenges make casuals not want to play?  That's... odd

Yeah, pretty sure that's how it was on the first Undying too.

I don't know but why would really casual care? What does one get out of it? Prestige points? Perhaps chest? There isn't much to loose from their side, as for non casual casuals and weekend warriors they have a stake perhaps bw is trying to entice them back? Thinking aloud here

Well, he would be correct. My gotta-do-all-the-weekend-challenges senses are making my eye twitch that I gotta try go and carve out random times during the weekdays to get her done after work/household duties.

Call me crazy (& now I've said that someone will), but when I first saw the list of challenges I was convinced Bioware was leading up to something, now, after reading this thread, I'm certain of it.
