As I was playing my Dwarf Noble from Origins once more and entertaining The Paragons and Orzammars future role in the series, Something just occurred to me.
As we are made aware of throughout the series, The Dwarven city of Orzammar is heavily reliant on the surface trade to remain afloat. Bhelen is concerned about the effects of the Orlesian civil war causing food shortages, and Harrowmonts failure to maintain a food surplus causes riots in the streets and likely famine.
We are also made aware in the lore that most of Orzammars revenue is obtained from the export of Lyrium to the surface.

So I began thinking, With the possible death of most of The Templars, Or the Mages in Inquisition at Haven, Or with the Templars following Cullen in quitting Lyrium, The demand for Lyrium in thedas due to the events of Inquisition will drop significantly.
With the drop in lyrium demand, Orzammar will loose alot of revenue and may face a financial crisis. Could this severely effect them in their everlasting war with the darkspawn? Could it make it more difficult to keep their armies supplied? And what of its citizens, relying largely on the import of goods from the surface?
Have we just doomed Orzammar? Or started her on her ultimate path to destruction? =O

We might be on the path of forcing them to live on the surface.

I don't think Orzammar will feel difference ,save for scenario where leliana is divine and templars are gone for good.If you sided with templars they obviously still need lyrium and mages don't need lyrium outside rituals (like in redcliff) and tough fights ,not to mention there is more mages out there .If you sided with mages more templars will be trained so lyrium still will be needed as it was before.

I suspect that the Mage-Templar war decimating the ranks of both sides did more to hit lyrium demand than the events of DAI...

.....The Templars are not the only customer for lyrium. There are the Circles and Tevinter and the Chantry and anyone who has the gold.....

Hmm true, Mages demand isn't that high in the first place. Still even outside of Divine Leliana its possible demand will sharply drop, If Cullen ends up quitting Lyrium we're told many templars follow him in kicking it. And in some cases Most of the order remains with the Inquisition when the new divine reforms the order, So Vivienne or Cassandras Templars will be few in number for a while.

Well as i said they will have to recruit new templars quickly if they want circles to function so that means they will need lyrium anyway for recruits + templars they already have.

I would imagine the only appreciable difference would be with Leliana as Divine as she disbands the Circles.   So the Chantry will no longer be engaged in buying lyrium from the dwarves.    In the past the Chantry pretty much insisted they had a monopoly on the lyrium supply, hence the prevalence of lyrium smugglers.      This made a steady, reliable source of income for the dwarves.    It will still  be there in the future but they will be dealing with multiple agencies.    In some ways that may help them since I imagine the Chantry drove a hard bargain over pricing.   Now they can deal with whomever they choose without worrying about their biggest buyer getting the hump.   Tevinter has always been a steady source of income for the dwarves since the degree of magical research being undertaken there would involve a lot of lyrium.    The Inquisition now has a deal going with them.   Even if their Templars get off lyrium, they will still need supplies for their mages.    In fact with mages free to operate throughout Thedas with no limit on their activities or research, the demand for lyrium from mages may well offset the demand lost from Templars over time.

With the other two Divines it will pretty much be business as usual I would imagine, since they restore the Circles and the Templar order.

As others have said, the instability caused by the mage/Templar conflict would have been far more damaging to the lyrium trade than any subsequent world order.
