So then technically isn't Apple exercising their freedom of "expression" by choosing not to sell games with the Confederate Flag?
I mean, how does Apple or some other retailer choosing not to sell the flag hurt you in any way?
Your argument goes both ways, not just one way.
How do some of you not understand the differences between Wal-Mart choosing not to sell a flag and Apple choosing to censor games that have a flag in it? If Wal-Mart doesn't want to stock a particular item anymore, so be it. It might be stupid but it's not censorship.
However, when Apple starts removing games from their store just because said games have a certain image that they're afraid will offend someone, and then turns around and tells the developers of those games that they must censor their own games in order to be allowed back onto their store, that's blatant censorship.
Apple is exercising it's rights as a company to censor whatever is on their store because they have the right to do so. But they're not exercising freedom of expression, there is no thought out reason behind this; it's only a knee jerk reaction (and a dumb one at that) to the shooting in South Carolina.
