Seriously!? I would post noodz of myself everywhere just to get you people to realize sex is not that exciting....ever
So you're saying that a naked Bunz isn't enough to get the ladies excited, eh?

Romance =/= sex
This is the big problem, in my mind. In TW3 there is far more romantic content than in any BioWare game I can think of, but because BioWare were clever enough to actually call their content "romances" and CDPR weren't, The Witcher is just written off as pseudo porn or cheesy sex scenes.
If it is actually romance, and not just sex people are interested in, then TW3 is a far better place to find it than any Mass Effect or Dragon Age title.
I really dislike this concept: violence, blood, torture, crime, etc... all fun and hilarious. Sex and nudity? OH MY GAWD HIDE THE CHILDREN! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Society really needs to pull its collective head out of its ass and change this idiotic concept.
Back on topic, nudity? Yes please. But do the models and animations right haha! Some graphic/engine glitches/limitations can cause hideous results...
Anyway, I'm not asking for a porn simulator, (though if they are offering I wouldn't say no haha) but sex scenes in underwear, fade to black scenes... come on, that's just silly.

I'm good with nudity so long as it isn't the typical anime fanservice. If your making love in a shower character models really shouldn't be in their underwear. It is one of the more absurd, immersion-breaking things Bioware does. If they don't want full nudity they can obscure with camera angles or materials organic to the environment (i.e. steam from a shower could hide "offensive" body parts much more naturally than underwear.)
I get really annoyed with the assumptions people make about the Witcher in general.
For instance the claims that Geralt is some perverted sexist pig. I've read the books and I've played all games save for 2 and I couldn't think of a better gentleman.
Maybe it was a bit sexist or whatever prior to TW3 but I've seen people bitching and complaining and saying "I will never ever play TW3 cause its sexist and porn for straight Male gamers" it's absolute bullshit. I mean, some of the decisions you can make in that game are very pro female.
Alas, I hate these sorts of discussions about gender but I just wish people knew what they were actually talking about before making such claims.
It actually pleases me when I have straight female friends who have played it and absolutely love the game and gush over Geralt's wet body Lmao.
As far as guy go, Geralt seems like a pretty good one.
Though as I recall some of the comments made pre-launch weren't great which likely didn't help them. I believe one mentioned about how the opening scene which suggests Geralt and Yennefer were banging the night before was done to "provide a justification for the player to pursue this woman".
Which made it sound really badly written.
Bad writing certainly isn´t something I would dare to accuse CDPR off now.
I wouldn't accuse them of it now, but they certainly could have talked about romance in TW3 better pre-launch =P

Never played The Witcher but I have seen the sex scene on the unicorn and the brothel scenes and there's juicy bouncy mammaries and glistening nipples and still no c0ck but naked white butt... and that's pretty much it.
Not sure what's the big deal of it tho. People want Yennefer and Tris in MEA? Or just more variety of topless females to bang repetitively? Probably the later.

I'd gladly take less romances if they were more like The Witcher 3's.

The best about the Unicorn scene isn´t the romance or sex. It´s Geralt´s face when he realizes Jen wants to use that damn Unicorn which he is certainly not very fond of.
And they have to hurry because they will be missed at the festivity.
For me it was very amusing and it felt more real than any romance szene Bioware ever managed. Bioware sugercoats everything, they can´t help it. But it doesn´t mean I didn´t enjoy the romance scenes in Inquisition. They were nicely done.

Well, I'm hardly the right person to judge video game female NPC romances anyway... since I hardly play enough of them to judge myself and whenever I have to play as male protagonists, I normally don't have a choice especially in games like Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry....
A very well-written romance can be mentally stimulating. A very well-directed smut can be visually stimulating. In any medium, its hard enough to balance either those two without going straight into bad porn territory but in video games.... its still a long way to go.

For sure. I can't really imagine there being an actual pornographic sex scene in a video game like ME but I wouldnt be surprised if in the future some company took on the actual idea of a porn game. I mean why not? That shite would definitely sell.
Sam Houser, the guy behind GTA, wanted (and fought for) pornographic sex scenes when making San Andreas. He wanted to show explicit oral sex, penetration and various sex positions. His reasoning is that videogames will never reach the level of respect that are reserved for films and books while they are held back in ways the other mediums aren't.

Basically Skyrim... And Fallout 4 eventually since the engine is pretty similar.
Fan service, like metal bikini armour I find to be gratuitous. A full fledged full frontal sex scene complete with penetration would be gratuitous.
I happened to like the romance scene with Iron Bull where the inquisitor is topless on the bed with Bull, because I thought it was playful and cute and natural.
If a scene used shadow play and camera angles and blankets to initiate a sex scene, but I'd rather it fade to black instead of see a full sex scene; I mean it's not porn afterall.
I don't think that kind of nudity has never been necessary. It can be alright if it serves the purpose of telling a story, if it adds legitimate substance, rather than focusing the minds on it for the only sake of being there.
For instance, I know a man and a woman are in love and flirting without seeing them naked, I don't need to see a man's penis or a woman's breast; even less I need to know they're making love. (and I agree with you on the fade to black screen)
Every particular, even the most minute, that isn't there to tell more stuff about a story, but instead it is put there to let the eye and the mind indulge on it, is gratuitous.

The problem here is that you're arbitrarily deciding what contributes to the story. Stories are more than just intellectual lists of events, they're moments. You can know that a man and woman are in love without ever seeing them naked but you won't know how they behave when they are naked, maybe that isn't important and maybe it is.
I want to indulge the mind. I can know that it is autumn, or I can see orange and red leaves carpeting the ground, grey skies, thick jackets, and cold winds toying with people's hair. I can know that Rutger Hauer really doesn't want to die, or I can hear him reflect on attack ships on fire and c-beams glittering in the dark. That's not to say that every game should rush to model genitals but I don't think it's as simple as saying something is pointless because it doesn't directly advance the story.

ME:A will be rated M so that EA can market the game to a wider audience. Thus, I expect some brief nude cinematics but no sex. I doubt EA will exceed DA:I's nude scenes.
Now, I ask wether the nudes scenes in DA:I were montion captured or computer generated as the latter explains the hideous results.

You should really try Yen, as much as I like Triss, she was sadly little more than an afterthought compared to Yen.
Yen is much more integrated into the story.
I'm going to in my NG+. Which will happen at some point, but the game is just so long. I didn't play the series in earnest until this summer, and I wanted one that could go through all three games with me.
Although, I'll reiterate that right now my position is Olgierd------->Triss->Shani->Yen. Olgierd also wins best redhead. He's just such an awesome dude.
