Why shouldn't I pursue romance storylines? I happen to like love stories. But you know what? Love=/=sex. And it's kinda distressing that more and more people seem to think of them as one and the same. A love story, even a "mature" one, doesn't require a money shot
I liked romancing Ashley in ME1. But you know what? SHe and Shepard don't have to sleep together. Shepard could always turn her down and the romance would still complete. Or I could have them sleep together, but I could hit a button and not see anything if I didn't want to. Or I could let the scene play out and see it all. Options for everyone! Can't have that now, can we?
Believe me, I intend to put MEA under a microscope, and at this point anm inclined not to buy it, but not for nudity or lack of it.
Oh, and I resent that you think lack of nudity is equated with "laziness"
I've never said love equals sex, not even once, but that I don't get the fuss over it when it's something that has been done for years now in Bioware games, and actually being improved since then.
I find odd to believe that the romances continue when it doesn't get really locked before the love scene, before that point, they weren't even dating, and if they do after the main story is done, then you just missed a crucial part of the relationship, so that makes zero sense.
Lack of nudity doesn't mean laziness, read that paragraph once again, the lack of well done love scenes is laziness aka DAO, DA2 and ME3.
I would put ME2 among that list, but at least those scenes end before they get kinky.
Not in ME1. Shepard can turn down Kaidan, Ash, and Liara on the way to Ilos, and the romance still locks in.
Already addressed that.
