It's supposed to be an adult game, and society as a whole appears to be getting less prudish (at least here in the states), so I'd be fine with it as long as it's not overbearing. However, people's opinions on what is "too much" and what isn't are going to be vastly different, so they may decide to play it safe and in an attempt to keep the majority happy.

 

Besides, Source Filmmaker exists.

Sadly, a krogan's quad is probably buried deep within their abdomen, which I guess would be the same for the volus, turians and salarians. So the only teabagging they give would be metaphorical.

How in the world has the ME team been 'much smarter' and 'avoided gimmicks' when it comes to sex scenes:

 

DA: O - stupid underwear sex scenes

DA2 - fade to black

DA: I - variety of sex scenes, some of which include minor nudity

 

ME - tasteful 'nude illusion' in sex scenes

ME2 - fade to back and fully clothed dry humping

ME3 - more fade to black and fully clothed dry humping; stupid underwear sex scenes; showering in bras

 

To me, the DA team has gotten better over time.  The ME team has gotten more ridiculous over time.

 

I'd like ME: A to follow either the ME1 or DA: I approach to these scenes.  Fade to black is fine, but seems needlessly prudish.  Underwear sex scenes and clothed dry humping are silly and a waste of time for everyone.

I don't mind if its more frivolity in game. 

I don't want to see hardcore sex.

But I think well balanced love scene without blackouts and cutt-offs could be done with good taste.

Depends on context. Porn is all about the deed itself with no build up or pillow talk. Character stories are usually about - yanno, characters and their relationship. The mechanics and specifics wrt the deed itself aren't usually relevant.

I am for tasteful nudity, so basically where it belongs like Romance scenes. I don't think I need my crew to be going around in the nude while on the ship traveling lol.

I'm fine with ME1 or DAI levels of nudity.

 

Though I think they should take into account the likely audience of each romance when they decide who gets the larger share of nudity. If it's a male/male romance option, I'll willing to bet whoever is playing it wouldn't have a problem seeing a man's bum (or more). Likewise if it's a female protag romancing a man, I'm sure the players will be more interested in seeing him than their own character. But there was no butt shots on Iron Bull, Cullen or Blackwall. Though since I'm also very happy with Solas-style romances (where sex isn't even mentioned), I might not be the best person to judge these things.

 

I'm not sure about aliens. If it's a human-y alien like Liara (or perhaps Tali and Thane?) then I imagine nudity ME1/DAI style is fine. If it's something more unusual like a turian... they could go for something more like the Solas romance and still have something deep and emotionally engaging. There could be some other kind of important romance scene instead of a sex one.

all depends on "romance options"

I don't think any human could survive intercourse with krogan / enjoy it (however more strange looking pairs could be seen in the hypermarket) Those I would never like to see exposed either.

Love scene is all about good taste.

I liked how DA:I handled it very much.

 

Always seemed silly to me that games can revel in gore but nudity is where the line is drawn. 

 

Indeed - for a European it's ludicrous that in the US violence is not a problem but if you show one bit of skin you are in trouble...come on that's such a backwards attitude (all those people having an attitude like that should be forced to wear clothes like those the pilgrim fathers wore because they'd fit in with those pricks...I mean they left England because they were religious extremists no one wanted, right?)
