I think they'll do it because they have been outmatched by Witcher. As long there is no underwear involved in sex scenes and no fade to black bs, I think they can pull it off.
I agree! I am hoping for Witcher like romance scenes for ME:A!

Outmatched? The Witcher's scenes are worse than anything Bioware has done.

Worse in what regard?
Worse in what regard?
Naughtier I guess.
Really???Outmatched? The Witcher's scenes are worse than anything Bioware has done.
Bioware, I am naked right now. Where is my scene? Let's do it.
Mass Effect Andromeda is waiting for me. ![]()
Worse in what regard?
Animation, audio, design, etc.
Really???
Yes, really.
Exactly. Those who don't any nudity shouldn't buy those games, easy as that.
Thank you, move along.
So if they decide not to do nudity for the next game, you gonna not buy and just "move along"?
Animation, audio, design, etc.
Yes, really.
Pffffft that ain't no excuse. If CDPR does it BioWare can do it too.
What excuse? I was saying those are ways the Witcher sex scenes are worse.

Why would they want to?

Why not?
Some people would consider the idea of appreciating naked skin in a video game as "perverted". Those silly people.
As for the actual question: I didn't mind the nudity in Inquisition. They should do it if it fits within the overall narrative and the situation. One example would be the "pillow talk". It simply makes more sense to see naked characters/people in underwear than to see my inquisitor wearing full chainmail. But they shouldn't include nudity "just because."
How they're sex scenes are worse?
I'll admit that the Shani sex scene was alright. But let's not repeat the naked unicorn. Please. That was painful to watch.
How they're sex scenes are worse? I think Witcher have the best sex scenes in the history of gaming. Hey if you can give insights of how BioWare can do better with sexual contents, my ears are open.
I already answered this. It is worse in terms on animation, audio, design, and other things.

Not to mention it's more appropriate in a late-night HBO program.

I honestly don't see much difference in terms of animation and audio. Witcher 3 and Mass Effect 3 are close to the same level, with Witcher 3 taking the helm by a slight margin. Whether the scene has some class and quality to it is worthy of discussion, but the animation and audio is not worse per se.
I remembered its still underwear and fade out sex in The Witcher 3.
I guess one day, they will show actual genitals in games... or pubic hair at least.

Hey I saw the threesome @ YouTube. That was the most unexpected event in games I never seen before, I would suggest BioWare should take notes and find ways to make their sex scenes better than Witcher. And I think that people are icky about sexual content and nudity in games because they are either insecure of their sexuality, or their religious beliefs of why they're against it. Whatever the issue is, it's a game for mature audience only, if you don't want no nudity or sexual content don't buy it. But hey each to his own.
Chug! Chug! Chug!

The moaning and grunting in the Witcher scenes are cringeworthy. That's what I'm referring to in terms of audio.
As for animation, in the Witcher 2 the scenes where the nude woman is grinding against a Geralt who is still wearing pants that aren't even unfastened being them having sex is laughably bad.
