It's funny people always mention how the penis is never shown in games, but full frontal female nudity is. I have played three games in which you see a penis (one of which is an extended scene than runs for multiple minutes. I have never seen the explicit depiction of a vagina in a videogame, ever. (The top end of somebodies pubic region is not full frontal nudity really, as you don't see genitalia, which leaves Triss out of the running.)

Always seemed silly to me that games can revel in gore but nudity is where the line is drawn.

They did show male genitals @ Dante's Inferno when you fight Lucifer.

Me too. But sometimes you have to just accept that some people have these limits without trying to understand them. For instance, I don't expect my dad to be able to watch Outlander. He's a big fan of Scottish history, but he's also 91. The show would be a bit much for him. (That finale was a bit rough on me.)

I'm coming around to the idea that an underwear toggle might be utility-maximizing. Write and animate the scenes the way they were done for DAI, and then let people who can't handle that toggle on some kind of clothing. If you're just using default outfits for the alternate mode, it's almost free. It'd look lame, sure, but since everyone would know that it wasn't supposed to look sensible in alternate mode, that wouldn't matter.

Full nudity is just plain vanilla and passe, there's far more elegance and attractiveness to be had with the right clothing and with the right amount of skin exposed and covered.

Given that the type of person who would bemoan the inclusion of a little light titillation in their (and everybody else's) M rated popular entertainment would likely need a variety of toggles for language and violence too, I don't think that toggles are the answer here. Honestly, I think that the only way to placate those people who simply cannot abide by a little M rated content in their M rated video-games would be to make all of those games T for Teen.
