Given that the type of person who would bemoan the inclusion of a little light titillation in their (and everybody else's) M rated popular entertainment would likely need a variety of toggles for language and violence too, I don't think that toggles are the answer here. Honestly, I think that the only way to placate those people who simply cannot abide by a little M rated content in their M rated video-games would be to make all of those games T for Teen.

It's a good point. A bleep toggle -- which would be hilarious if done right -- would require a whole bunch more work since every individual bleep would have to be flagged. And violence would be even worse. The only thing that makes the underwear toggle conceptually viable is that it's almost free. If you'd have to do all of the toggles to gain any value then, yeah, the whole effort is unworkable.

I'll leave it to iakus et al. to make a judgement about that, though.

I'm on record as saying a language toggle is unfeasible.  And I am in favor of a "gore toggle" at least.

 

And I am in favor of allowing characters to turn down sex in the romances via dialogue without breaking the romance (as ME1 allowed) or skipping a sex scene if the player prefers that (as, again ME1 allowed) alongside nude scenes themselves.  As far as I'm concerned, everyone wins.

Honestly can't see explicit vag in that pic. Doesn't help that it's all shrouded in shadow. Also unless Asari have four nipples, the glowing things are something else, two of them just happen to be where nipples formerly were. There's also one on each wrist.

 

That doesn't come close to the full frontal male nudity displayed in GTA 4. It's not even fair to compare the two.

Y'know, one could argue that saying an argument is a strawman without explaining why it is a strawman is a strawman in and of itself. they are not arguments, though.  They are assertions.  With zero supporting evidence.
