DAO's sex scenes are cringeworthy with or without lingeries/loincloth while ME1's camera panning only last a few seconds, (slightly more seconds with Liara's mindmelding on top of Shepard) and the love scenes were meant to be titillating rather than being overtly explicit.

I'm happy with tasteful love scenes and optional nudity. Bioware doesn't need to go all the way to be 'eroge'.

But underwear can be sexy. Wearing sexy underwear while starting foreplay is sexy. Did you know how deathly expensive those **** was....

In Fantasy games it's ridiculous. Like an episode of Xena or Hercules where everyone was wearing leather bikinis or drawers.

Yeah. Beside the multiplayer component being tacked on, which is an EA directive, BioWare only has itself to blame for recent projects. I do believe they have struggled to rekindle the magic of an independent developer BioWare to a AAA developer BioWare. The only solution I have for BioWare is to go back to their roots, look at their older projects, and then turn to their peers and see what they are doing.

BioWare games certainly aren't terrible and I still enjoy them. I just no longer have that level of excitement for their projects like I used to when they would reveal a new game. Perhaps they have tried to appease too many folks and it has diluted their experience. Maybe instead of trying to please everybody, they should focus on making a really great experience and see how folks perceive it.

Bioware today is like fast food to me; there when I want a quick bite, but nothing to get excited about. The last time they created an innovative and cutting edge game was almost ten years ago with the original Mass Effect.

They still shine in certain aspects. Such as companion interactions and the possibility for romance. But, as far as the DA series is concerned, they lost me with DAII. I didn't even get over the demo. Even after the first minute, they lost me with the approach they had taken.

I'm more forgiving with the ME series, since it leans more towards shooter anyway. The only thing bothering me is the multiplayer being tagged on every game these days. Eats resources better spent on other parts of the game.

Underwear is fine if you are doing foreplay. It's not fine when you are going into the act of having full-on sexual intercourse! I mean, unless it's some sort of BDSM fantasy and you are ripping clothes off or moving them to the side, I guess that works. That requires too much programming and it would be easier to just be nude in the sex scenes anyways.

Sexy undies/lingerie/clothing is a must when it comes to a dame with me(she better at least wear stockings), or my drawers go right back up and I go on my way.

never having sex underwater and in the nude is a pitiable state of existence.

Agreed. The voiced protagonist, cinematic cutscenes, dialogue wheel, etc. were all massive innovations that have changed BioWare games forever. Unfortunately, BioWare hasn't done much to evolve their model since ME1 in terms of storytelling. Maybe MEA will be a larger leap since this is their first true next gen game (DAI was available on last gen). It seems to me, though, MEA is really just taking ideas that were already in ME1 and reusing them.

I actually hope they do, and just improve on those ...

I agree. In many ways, ME1 was actually the most ambitious game out of the trilogy. I almost see this game as a reboot of ME1 to bring to reality many of the ideas that were cut or weren't possible with ME1 nine years ago. Of course, new stuff is good too!

I hope it does. But I'm just a little bit concerned over multiplayer being the next big thing on the horizon of the EA high and mighties. ME3 already was rather on the short side when it came to the SP campaign without DLCs. Compared to it's predecessors.

In fairness, ME3 also had an incredibly short development cycle. Two years, at most. Probably less than that actually. MEA has been in development for over three years, so there should be A LOT more content. It's certainly going to be far more massive than ME3.

I do agree EA's policy that all of their games needs MP is ridiculous. I don't think the MP BioWare has done for their games is really that good. ME3 was okay. DAI was atrocious. I wouldn't mind actual coop integrated into the single player, but I don't care for the survival mode.

Coop would be fun! I'd take that over MP any day.

ME2 didn't have more. ME1 came out in 08 if I'm not mistaken and ME2 in 10.

I love the way people use the term 'social justice' to mean a bad thing.
What you really mean is 'viewpoint I don't agree with'.

Is this coop sex with clothes on or without? That could be a deal breaker for me.

ME1 came out in 2007 on the Xbox 360. It came out as a port in 2008 on the PC. ME2 had a longer development cycle than ME3.

Oh yes. Imagine if instead of 2 dumb AI squadmates we had 2 buddies that could as efficiently kick ass as yourself... Oh sweet dreams.

Well I've learned BioWare believes normal people having clothes during sex is awesome and banshees have nipples and vaginas is just fine. I certainly believe no clothes is more realistic though if BioWare were to do it!
