You confuse western culture with humanity's instincts. Take some tribes that live on islands for example. They are naked all the time, they treat nudity casually and they don't have Peeping Toms nor do they want to have sex all the time. They treat each other naked as we treat each other clothed. Another example is naturism. People enjoy being one with the nature and don't think of each other as sex objects. So no, nudity is only titillating if it's a rarity. A taboo. "You're not supposed to see other people naked unless you're dating them" kinda bs. So it's stuck to our heads as the universal truth when in reality it's not. We need to change our way of thinking.
What? I thought western culture was humanity's instincts. Did I miss something? Let me go back to AMERICA **** YEAH school.
I'll help you out a bit, buddy, as I assume you aren't one of these "tribes that live on islands." Yes, culture can lead to some contrasts in human behavior. However, survival of the fittest, reproduction, these are all inherently genetic traits in humans in order to survive. No matter what background or society you come from, you will become aroused by the sight of someone you find attractive. As far as being naked all the time, yeah if you see someone nude 24/7 it's not going to be very special because you are used to it. That doesn't mean you still can't find someone sexually arousing.
This has nothing to do with seeing someone as a "sex object." I'm not sure where you found that in my post anywhere. Care to show me? As I said, reproduction is an inherent trait coded into humans for their own self-interest of survival. Whether conscious of it or not, people have a will to procreate and survive, and this can partly be attributed to sexual attraction to other human beings. Who said anything about seeing people naked only if you date them? I actually studied communist Eastern Germany before the Berlin wall fell quite extensively in college and public nudity was the norm and accessible.
If you don't believe they felt sexual attraction to others though, you are nuts. To the contrary, after Germany was reunited, Eastern Germans complained about how Western Germans (part of "western culture") weren't as lively or interesting at sex as their eastern counterparts. This was partially attributed to western culture having an obsession with what we call the "porn industry" and the fake ideal of sex that it has created as well as the ideal body. Fake boobs are so great? Am I right? *I'm being sarcastic, by the way.*
Regardless, you are nuts if you truly believe sexual arousal is purely an accident of nurture rather than being related to any implicit component of nature. If that were the case, humanity might have gone extinct a long time ago for a multitude of reasons.
Anyways, what does this have to do with nudity in MEA? Oh, yes we want more of that. Yes, please.
