The first ME sex scenes move way too fast and the end scene is ridiculous. Shepard put his/her clothes on and stepped out the bed like "Oh God what have I done?" They should really work on sex with ME a lot note to be erotic, sensual, and arousing, not wearing underwear cuddling and kissing. and Witcher is better with certain sex scenes that caught my eye and did a good job with them too makes DA romance looks like a joke in comparison.

Any sex scene that doesn't cause you to get a massive erection isn't doing it right. imo

Romance is optional, hence nudity is optional, therefore they won't put this amount of effort into it. You will probably get the same scenes as in DA:I. Some nudity for men and women. Honestly why do you want more? And more importantly does the game really benefit from it? 

If they are going to include it, they should do a good job of it - not just the nudity and sex, the entire romance story arc and how it affects things. The game could benefit from it if it wasn't simply a few dialogue options culminating in a sex scene.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this. Having romanced Cassandra in DA:I I found that my character's body looked weird during the scene and that showing her nipples while fine, was unnecessary. I also romanced Josephine in DA:I and while she did not have a sex scene, I was fine with that because it felt like it fit her character and romance arc. In comparison though with Miranda in ME:3, I felt that it was odd that she had not sex scene and it was fade to black because it just did not fit with her. In ME:2 with Miranda having her not being nude was fine because of how they set the scene up. In comparison though keeping underwear on was odd to me romancing Traynor in ME:3 during the shower scene and then at then end with her or Ashley on the bed in Shep's cabin before the final mission. Having played it recently,I think that the romance in ME:1 is still the best in terms of presentation. It was showed the point and it showed nudity but nothing vulgar. It kept it short and classy. It showed the characters nude but it did not look awkward, it looked natural. So I guess to some up it really depends on the character, the romance arc and the situation if there is nudity, no nudity or no sex scene at all.

Well, as I recall DA:I was the first game of BioWare (haven't played games before origins/ME 1 except Kotor) with actual nudity in it. Do you think it was a good move of BioWare as it of course i an adult franchise and do you think they should put it also in the new Mass Effect?

 

I have no problem with nudity in games, but I don't want other people - especially kids and young teens - to be forced to see it because nudity is offensive in our society. Forcing it onscreen won't change that notion, only upset people needlessly.

 

I believe there can be a sub-menu in the game settings where you choose the level of nudity to be shown. So when there are cutscenes with naked characters, they can appear in three ways: wearing underwear (knickers+bra and boxers), wearing underwear that covers only their genitals or 100% naked.

 

If your level's set to 10, you can even see some naked guy in the shower when you enter the ship's bathroom.

If your level's set to 5, said character will be in the shower wearing trunks. Or with a towel wrapped around his waist.

If your level's set to 1, then your characters will wear underwear even during love making scenes.

 

It should be a matter of choice for the player. This would avoid a future headache for BW. And it's an easy feature to implement.

The thing is that BW games are M for mature they're not for kids or people who doesn't like mature content. It's up to the parents to teach their kids about sex and it's their responsibility to teach them, but people want to blame on companies who makes video games that contains adult content instead of blaming themselves of not teaching their kids about sex. The developers are not responsible for anyone's well being of exposure to adult content in mature games only for 18 and up, people don't want to take responsibility for their kids buying and playing mature games and going apeshit @ devs "poisoning children's minds of sex and violence" because their kids saw nudity and sex, people need to grow the hell up. If they want to blame on someone go blame on Disney cartoons who puts sex symbols and hidden sexual messages triggers children's subconscious minds and perverting children. I think nudity and sexuality should be shown in mature games only for adults to play not children.

At this point I think that the thread has gone though the same cycle many times, so let me catch you all up if you don't want to read 80 pages:

 

1. Toggles would require a ton of extra work which means extra time and money. Yes, more than you think it will. No, it's probably not going to happen.

2. The game will probably be rated M or the local equivalent of that. This does not mean they are obligated to include nudity, but showing nudity at the level of DA:I isn't going to raise this rating either.

3. When we say nudity, we really just mean boobs since that's all that gets shown.

4. It's been a very long time since anybody has made any good arguments for either side of this debate. The thread at this point is basically just the pro-nudity people continually acting like game needs to have nudity in order to be considered adult.

Such toggles might not require so much extra work as many have assumed for one reason: Localization. As I understand it, some game content is changed to comply with local laws and standards as media content is distributed in various regions of the world.

What I'm suggesting is that building different versions into the base game could save the Localization teams a fair bit of effort, essentially moving that work to an earlier point in the process.

And on another note:
The Traynor underwear shower scene (completely optional, and something that a lot of players never encounter) is often cited as bizarre, while the fact that krogan grown in tanks are "born" fully armored is never mentioned.

That's because considerably more people want to see a couple of women naked in a shower than a naked krogan shoving Shepard up against a wall
