Much as people accuse other players of turning their characters into self-inserts, I do not see them as such.

Well yeah it's a game. I don't see nothing wrong with a little sex and showing skin every now and then. It just seems to me that people who take issues with sexuality in the media because it reflects their own feelings and issues of sexuality. Now I don't mind sexuality in games, shows, and movies but it needs to kept in moderation like everything else that involves adult content.

At this point I think that the thread has gone though the same cycle many times, so let me catch you all up if you don't want to read 80 pages:

 

1. Toggles would require a ton of extra work which means extra time and money. Yes, more than you think it will. No, it's probably not going to happen.

2. The game will probably be rated M or the local equivalent of that. This does not mean they are obligated to include nudity, but showing nudity at the level of DA:I isn't going to raise this rating either.

3. When we say nudity, we really just mean boobs since that's all that gets shown.

4. It's been a very long time since anybody has made any good arguments for either side of this debate. The thread at this point is basically just the pro-nudity people continually acting like game needs to have nudity in order to be considered adult.

Well yeah it's a game. I don't see nothing wrong with a little sex and showing skin every now and then. It just seems to me that people who take issues with sexuality in the media because it reflects their own feelings and issues of sexuality. Now I don't mind sexuality in games, shows, and movies but it needs to kept in moderation like everything else that involves adult content.

I think what we want to know is - What does it actually add to the game? Besides the obvious. Atleast me for it is not important to the story beeing told with the romances. It is not like i am looking at Dragon Age Origins and think to myself "This scene could use some nudity" rather i wish it was fade to black because it isn't adding anything to the progression of the romance besides the obvious.

To improve adult content of mature games by allowing nudity and sexual content to move to the next level from unrealistic and censoring sexual content. Why not add a little naughtiness to it? Now they can set up quests to have sex as optional of those who doesn't like sexual content for LI's.

I believe they're referring to when Grunt wakes up in Mass Effect 2.

With how they did it in DAI, that's no longer an option since now there are dialogue choices to be made while it's onscreen.

And on another note:
The Traynor underwear shower scene (completely optional, and something that a lot of players never encounter) is often cited as bizarre, while the fact that krogan grown in tanks are "born" fully armored is never mentioned.

Because showering with clothes on in a situation like that is kinda bizarre, but there is no reason to assume the Krogan were created in the same tank you found them in - and doing so would make it bizarre. In the first case you are presented with the situation, in the second you'd need to make it up and ignore a more reasonable explanation.

Hey if you see a label that says strong sexual content, nudity, and sexual themes you're going you're going to see everything what it says. Mature games, movies, and shows are meant to show mature content for adults especially where sex is involved. I don't see what the big deal is about seeing adult men and women doing sexual acts and we do it all the time. It's not the sexual content itself mind you, it's how they use sexual content that matters whether to respect it by keeping it in moderation or abuse it by adding degradation and twisting sexuality like what pornography does. It's the context; how they're showing it not sexual content itself. And why not add them to mature games anyway? As long as they don't go all XXX (unless it's A for adults)

That depends entirely on the story being told. Besides, one could easily preempt that pointless statement from the other side in saying that clothes and chastity do not necessarily 'improve' storytelling. It's just nonsense.
