Ok, so instead of doing a compromise and allowing two roads for any romance, those roads being sexual relationship or platonic relationship, you think it should be strictly platonic or strictly sexual.. I'm not trying to be an a$$ here, I'm just trying to understand the point you're trying to make..

A sex scene for characters such as Solas or Josphine I would not see as pulling the NPC out of character or not fitting into the aspect of storytelling, but as providing more options.. Honestly, I think having the choice for any LI NPC to have the option of platonic or sexual relationships with the PC is a preferable option for Bioware, because they get comments like "I wish Solas/Josephine had a romance scene." or "I wish Cullen/Bull had a platonic romance scene." By adding the option of choosing to have a sexual or platonic relationship, everyone is happy... That's all I'm trying to get across here..

Let me try this differently, do you see any problem with Cassandra being bisexual? because a lot of people seem to dislike that, her being exclusive to male inquisitors that is, things like mods even pop up.

Some characters are just not accessible, that being romantically or sexually just like in real life. And that is what I liked about DA:I romances, all of them had a nice flavor for different PCs.  If anyone has a sex scene is just boring, at least for me. Sometimes it takes way from the character arc, even if the player wants it.

If you do mind me asking, why is important for them to have unnecessary sex scenes?

I don't mind that question, but the same could be asked of why have romances at all? I enjoy the love story aspect of Bioware games. Having the sex scenes, in my opinion, add to the immersion of the romance story.. If that makes me a perv or immature, I accept that lol B)

¡Exactamente! I don't see what's the big deal about sex with games.

As far the whole "It's realistic" thing, I'd be more inclined to believe that argument if the animation quality wasn't straight out of the uncanny valley.

Sex scenes in games have pretty much always been awkward to watch, and nudity alone isn't going to fix that.

I don't either, honestly... sex is animal nature, its the most natural, beautiful thing in the world, but it's looked at as a bad thing.. which being a mom, sex means bringing beautiful children into the world.. kind of sad really.. but to each his own... some people don't like pizza and I don't understand them either lol just as they don't understand why I like the things I like..

Eh people are people. And sex is a natural part of life, but you'll always find someone who desecrate and twist sexuality into something abnormal like violent sex, rape, child pornography, snuff films, etc. And it's sad that we live in a world that is abnormal and out of balance.

Wow, personal attacks against those with a different view than you. How mature of you.  <_<

And don't lie to me and say it was a joke. Jokes are meant to be funny, and this clearly isn't.

I really hope people don't take it that far :( That would be a horrible view of life and a scary way to live.. I know that some see sex in movies and video games a little taboo, but to view it as a violent or horrendous act is very sad. Hopefully, more people just see it as taboo.

How is it that me attacking anyone by me saying that they are evil people out there who desecrates and twists sexuality by doing these evil ungodly things that's unnatural to sexuality? I did not mean people in this thread, and I'm not joking when I say this. I said that it's a damn shame that we live in a world that people twists of something that's natural and turn it unnatural and sexuality has lost it's balance. I admit I still have a whole lot to learn about love and sex, and you don't have to be offended just because I'm voicing my opinion. Tell you what: Let's leave all this drama behind and let's start over.

I definitely don't think sex should be treated as 2 roads because there won't be the resources to reflect these 2 completely different relationships. Instead it's just cutting out ability for that aspect to be reflected elsewhere in the romance. Personally I'm not a fan of the chaste romance but at least that's honest.

I don't believe in chastity myself especially with romantic relationships I personally think it's unnecessary and silly, I say why not bring nudity and sex with romantic interests but spice it up. A little erotica and foreplay can't hurt none with romance options to make it more sexy. Man this will be so fun!

Because believe it or not there are many people, male and female, who are not like you and want different things in romantic relationships, even fictional ones. Or should they not get what they want because it is "unnecessary and silly"?

Well I agree I just don't think sex should be treated as an optional extra, to be sampled or not sampled. I'd prefer all romances to have the sexual element fully integrated into the romance unless there's a very good character reason for them to be against sex.

This is BSN.

Obviously only I should get what I want, because everybody else's opinions are unnecessary and silly.

It's only my opinion just take what I said as a grain of salt. And many men though not all (well all dudes really) we all want sex. It's how we men are and it's in of our nature to be more sexually active and horny. As a matter of fact the main reason why that we get with women is to have sexual adventures and the thrill of how good it feels, it's like taking drugs to feel the rush, the high, and how addicting it can be. We are simple when it comes to sex anyhow.

I agree with you, but unfortunately with so many different tastes, more options need to be available to those that prefer not having sex scenes, but still want a romance, but with the M ERSB rating and noted Nudity it should be a clue that if you don't want to see sex scenes in your game, you may not to romance a character.. As I said earlier in this thread, I am all for nudity in the romance scenes, it doesn't bother me in the least and it would add to the immersion of the scene rather than having awkward clothed grinding scenes.. Honestly, I would like Bioware to try doing something like what CD Projekt Red did with Witcher 3. It was tastefully done, in my opinion, and I think Bioware could definitely integrate this into their romance scenes tastefully as well. They were headed in the right direction with DAI in my opinion, but with all the nay sayers out there, providing platonic and sexual romances for each LI NPC would be the Utopian idea.. that was all I was getting at.. Do I think Bioware will take that route, probably not, but its a theory...

They can learn a lot from Witcher as far as sexual content as far as concerned I think BW should spice it up to make sex scenes more erotic and naughty. I say go for it.

What do you mean by all? That's sexist to men. You're talking about yourself and maybe majority but definitely not all. It's not fair to say that every man is a horny dog and wants nothing but sex. And no, it has nothing to do with nature. It's our culture. I can assure you, many women are hornier than men and as sexually active. But for some reason we slutshame them.

The idea the "all men/women" are one way or another is beyond ludicrous. There is a spectrum across all character traits in both sexes. The most you can ever say is that "men/women tend on average at the population level to be a bit more this way" and that tells you precisely nothing about the individual standing in front of you.
