Ok, so instead of doing a compromise and allowing two roads for any romance, those roads being sexual relationship or platonic relationship, you think it should be strictly platonic or strictly sexual.. I'm not trying to be an a$$ here, I'm just trying to understand the point you're trying to make..
A sex scene for characters such as Solas or Josphine I would not see as pulling the NPC out of character or not fitting into the aspect of storytelling, but as providing more options.. Honestly, I think having the choice for any LI NPC to have the option of platonic or sexual relationships with the PC is a preferable option for Bioware, because they get comments like "I wish Solas/Josephine had a romance scene." or "I wish Cullen/Bull had a platonic romance scene." By adding the option of choosing to have a sexual or platonic relationship, everyone is happy... That's all I'm trying to get across here..
Let me try this differently, do you see any problem with Cassandra being bisexual? because a lot of people seem to dislike that, her being exclusive to male inquisitors that is, things like mods even pop up.
Some characters are just not accessible, that being romantically or sexually just like in real life. And that is what I liked about DA:I romances, all of them had a nice flavor for different PCs. If anyone has a sex scene is just boring, at least for me. Sometimes it takes way from the character arc, even if the player wants it.
If you do mind me asking, why is important for them to have unnecessary sex scenes?
