Everytime someone wants better "sex" scenes, others are always quick to reply that we must be poor virgins living in our mother's basement and that Bioware games are not meant to be porn. But I say, if you're going to do sex scenes, at least do them right!

 

What is severely lacking in Bioware sex scenes, is simple kissing and caressing. Something similar to a sex scene in movies. Kissing on lips, neck, caressing, etc. Maybe showing them slowing undressing (undoing belts, removing shirts, pants, etc)?

 

What I disliked about DAI's sex scene is that you go from fully clothed having a regular discussion, to fading to black and pointless nudity (Dorian, Blackwall) shown after the "sex" scene. Why not show them slowing start kissing, getting undressed, moving onto the bed and fade out then? Or even things like licking the body of the other (stomach, chest) or stuff?

 

I don't know. I'm not looking for porn but for scenes similar to R rated love scenes. I'm not even sure I can quality DAI's sex scenes as "sex scenes". If it's not possible, I really think they should just get rid of them altogether and have the characters have just a sexless love relationship. Or just imply sex instead of having such cheap sex scenes.

Several Mass Effect scenes are like this, along with Cassandra's scene in DA: I. The reason why the after is more important is because there's more talking, which is better for character development.

OP, consider how many models you would have to develop for what you're asking for. Not gonna happen.

Just headcannon whatever you need during the blackout.

 

But maybe you've got a point, if there's no way to make a 'realistic' or 'satisfying' sex scene then maybe they should ditch them in favor of meaningful dialogue.

Seriously? Yen acts cold and a b toward Geralt, then suddenly wants to get back together? Triss is a lot better, and Yen is an old grandma.

You need to read between the lines son. Yen isn't cold to Geralt in the beginning, she's just jealous and disappointed. How would you feel if your husband returned from the death with amnesia and then hooking up with your best friend? Sure, it was kinda her own fault because she didn't seek out Geralt right after she learned that he returned (she probably tried to let go of Geralt, she's weird like that), but still.

There's a Skellige warrioress that Geralt can have a fairly meaningful tryst with after beating her in combat. That's ... something else.
