Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock Controversy

As well as the article, here is a (possibly temporary) video of the fight:

I like Bellator. I have nothing against them, and hope that the continue to grow (I think competition is good for any field.) But, after seeing that fight for myself, I'm inclined to agree with Joe Rogan. It was definitely the worst performance that I've seen by either fighter, and they both looked so tentative and amateurish that it is actually hard to believe that it was a legit fight. Not impossible to believe, but difficult.

So do you think it was fixed? Does it make much difference if it was?

Looks legit to me. Neither is better now. Ken did everything exactly as he had to. Except that he didn't succeed. And the fight then ended exactly as it logically should. Nah, I'll say it's legit. I'll also have a hard time imagining Ken ever agreeing to anything like that. Not even against Kimbo. Then finally the question: Why?

Why would anyone fix a fight between Kimbo and Ken with Kimbo as winner? I admit I haven't looked at the odds, but how could there be any money in that?

No fix, just **** which is to be expected from freakshow fights.

Bellator has some real talented fighters but, sadly, it's washed up guys like Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz that draw crowds for them.

Hard to judge. Kimbo blasting Ken was legit as hell, Ken not able to finish Kimbo with the choke.. that one is a bit iffy. According to Big John's podcast it was a legit fight. I'll take his word over Joe's as John has never had an issue calling out work fights before, and he seems to be a man of integrity.

They have amazing fighters that get overlooked by UFC fanboys. "Pitbull" Freire, Strauss, Weichel, Chandler, Brooks, Curran. Freire is definitely a top 5 fighter, and he should cut down a weightclass. The dude is dwarfed by his opponents almost every fight.

Its legit. These guys are from the "old school" era. Meaning the ground pounders, where as today's fighters are more strikers than anything.
