So, if you choose the fire DOT evo (as any sane player should) and then you take a split grenade evo, do you get any fire DOT stacking if both fragments hit the same target? ![]()

Should be treated as two different projectiles with two individual DOT variables I believe. I think DOT on homing was non glitchy as far as rolling in with incendiary DOT when it was tested so I wouldn't think it would be glitched DOT just two specific instants of DOT.
That said I would feel more comfortable if someone from PC confirmed.

Now you is speakin 2me...I LOVE unleashing Split-Fire Grenade Hell into a spawn. On every kit that uses them I alway's take the Radius / Fire / Split evolutions . Firing a volley of 6 into say a crowd of Cannibals / Brutes ....KA-BOOM. With Radius everything in the spawn is on fire. I do believe it does stack when hitting the same target. Most of the time I am using them with a Incid. Venom / Drell Assassin the reason I'm not 100% sure they stack because from that combo there are so many fire explosions happening at once that I can't really tell the damage each hit is really causing to most armored targets..

Perhaps. I didn't really read OP's entire question before I's started speakin' the typin's language..'. I just was thinking that this thread was about our thoughts on Homing nades..I edited the last part to basically say I don't know

I've read somewhere that the fire effect can't be detonated.

Yes, I believe you're correct, but the OP was asking strictly about DOT. I would also assume that both nades would administer DOT separately.

By saying "separately" is that implying that the second homing 'nade cancels out the burning damage caused by the first 'nade and replacing the fire effect with its own? Or is space magic somehow involved?

I think the question is When the 2nd nade hits does it add to or double the burning damage?

But I constantly detonate it with Arc nades ![]()

This. The question is, does it stack with the first fragment or does it overwrite the first one? Or maybe nothing happens.

^ What Helix said. I've seen them get detonated all the time. When I would fire into an armored target and someone would follow with say Carnage, Incinerate, Warp, Overload....all the fire sploding detonators worked.

I meant that each nade should apply its own DOT, but you never know.
As far as FEs, I know this was a big problem when the Demolisher was introduced. Try it on a solo for a round without any ammo type.

Still don't understand why they don't prime for FEs with that evolution. Weak sauce.

I dunno
But I do know I get constant FE's when playing demogrill. Split homing, then arc - FE
Ac, homing - TB ![]()
I do use Disruptor rounds on her most often with a Crusader/Valkyrie, but I still get FE's even with AP/Drill.

Hmmmm....It's been quite a while since I played her, but I don't remember this being the case.
