If you want to draw comics it's probably a good idea to study some gestures and storyboarding so you can pump out some attention grabbing visuals.
Not critical, but really helps.
I'd say it's pretty important, I have a hard time drawing hands and gripping weapons/gun gestures myself

I'm SO tired and annoyed by that, make things interesting and have 7 chicks, yeah?
Make it seven hot guys and we have something
My advice?
World Build. Even if you're writing a story that takes place in say, 2015 New York City: World Build. Even if you are writing a piece of fan fiction from a video game world or cartoon show or book or whatever: World Build. Gather information of the setting and write out about the world stage, events both real and factional (assuming fiction and all that jazz), and essentially lay all the foundation down before you work on a plot.
Once you have the basics of the plot laid out, progression, character roles yadda yadda. With a comic, lay out both the overarching plot, progression, yadda yadda, then do so for each individual comic strip or episode or- whatever. Then you can worry about characters.
Then, once you get characters properly set up with background information, abilities, yadda yadda, then you can worry about character connections. Friendships, rivalries, romances, origins of, progressions of, foundations of, et cetera.
Never start from the top and work down. You might want to write a story about 'A Character who goes around and fights demons and has a romantic interest and-' but without the world and the plot being founded and written down first, it makes you more prone to wandering in your writing whether you realize it or not. Anchor yourself from the beginning.
So. . .Yeah. World build from the World itself (take a goooood long time on this, especially if you're making a whole new world of your own! Write the rules here and abide by them!), Plot, Characters, then Character Connections.
------------------
Otherwise? Progress slowly and work on drafts, review them after you've written a section and perhaps have other people go over it. You might think its perfect, but other people might spot problems you've missed. I'd like to see more once you've started.
Okay I cannot simply just 'like' this post I have let it be known that 'AedanStarfang' greatly approves (approval +50)

I cannot draw so I can't help there, and I'd rather you come up with your own ideas so wasn't going to suggest to you anything on that topic. I look forward to seeing what ideas you've come up with, whether its in messages or on the forums directly.
I thought you said they were lame super powers?
Being awesome at soccer is the greatest power there is.

You're not wrong. Transfer your soccer moves into fighting crime and you've got some pretty glorious action scenes.
STORY IDEA: A highly skilled soccer team fights crime in their spare time. They take on a large crime syndicate using amazing soccer skills and a single soccer ball passed between them.

How about, a series about a guy who works a normal job, but since he lives in an area with alot of superheroes, there's always some superhuman brawl, or robot attack, or alien invasion going on?

I kinda like that actually, makes me think of something like Godzilla or Project A-ko where the normal people or civilians are constantly getting caught in the middle of monster attacks/mecha/villain-hero brawls and buildings getting smashed/blown-up.

Of course, I always like to see what other people are up to.
I never get around to writing my own stories as I enjoy being stuck in World Building. . .been building one fantasy world for a good. . .ten-to-twelve years now. . .not a single story, plot idea, or character for said plot. ![]()

At the same time?
I can't deny being curious. Physiologically speaking. Is this like the human centipede?

Write a high school piece about 5 chicks on one guy's D. People eat that stuff up
You described literally every manga that isn't blatant action Shonen.

Make a comic set in England in the 19th century about a boy who gets adopted into a rich family after secretly killing his deadbeat dad. The boy then goes on to ruin the life of the son of his new family because he wants all the money and power of the family to himself. He then becomes a vampire and tries to take over the world.
It's just an idea.
Hard to say how well it could work.

You just need to sit down and start thinking, even if its just in a few minutes of spare time, or a daydream during your break at work.

As an exercise for you, try the following: Say you want to create a town, and the events of the story you will write, if any, take place entirely in this small town. However, just because it only takes place in this small town does not mean that you, the creator, don't know what is beyond this town and how it affects the town:
But before you start, let's simplify two things for this exercise:
- The inhabitants of this town are human. It could be a fantasy world with various races, but for the sake of simplicity let's assume only humans live in this town.
The questions are below:
- Where is this town, both in time and in space? Is this place in a realistic setting or fantastical setting? (Describe as much or as little of this as you wish at this point.)
- How old is this town? Give the town a backstory of its own: when was it founded and by whom?
- From here, come up with special events, locations, and other flavor that help make this town the town you think it is. Understand their culture, mannerisms, and thought process. Think of this as the place where you solidify the 'rules' of the town, to help ground yourself when moving forward. Once you understand these rules you can write your story within the confines of this society or you can go against its grain and imagine how they react. . .if they find out, that is.
If you choose to do this exercise, take some time on it: not a few hours, but a few days, more if you need to. Spend much of that time thinking, whether you are looking at your word document or not: Go for a walk and look around your local area and ask yourself how it could apply to the town. Watch people go about their daily lives and ask yourself how the average person lives their life within the town. Even record your own day and use that as fuel for your creative fire!
-----------------------------
I look forward to see what you've worked on!
