When straight guys keep making comments about how straight guys got the short end of the stick while two other sexualities got exactly the same number of options of course people get tired of it enough to roll their eyes.
My idea of fairness is proportional representation. That's not practical with small numbers, so I don't complain about its absence here, but I understand how people can feel that way. It isn't necessarily just privilege talking, but the impression that Bioware is trying to make up for the game industry's failure in that regard by over-representing minorities.

And I am tired of hypocrisy Go to topic "gay knight in shining armour" and look at it if someone made "straight female in shining armour", and post sexy photos of female everyone would go nuts. But it's totally fine to post something like this.
Spoilerand comments like "10/10 would bang" well oh it's just man and he is gay so it's fine.
Yeah...No, they wouldn't. They already post pictures of sexy females in the gay KISA thread because there are people in there who want a female KISA whether they're straight men or lesbians. They post sexual art of Cassandra in her thread all the time. You're accusing them of an outrage that they've never exhibited

Exactly. There was a recent conversation in that thread where people were posting a bunch of Natalie Dormer pics because it was suggested to have a bisexual KISA who looked like her. And it was people of all orientations (including straight men) who were participating. Yes, there have been sexy guy pics as well, but it's certainly not a hostile thread. There are people of all orientations and genders that participate regularly there. A bunch of straight guys are regulars there and are welcome. People try to single that thread out but it's only because it's so big and been around for so long (compared to most LGBT threads that get derailed quickly). It's had a few tense moments, but cooler heads have always prevailed and it gets sorted out quickly before mods have to intervene. Anyone who visits there will see that it's one of the most tolerant threads of that nature on the boards.
Although I'm not going to complain about having that sexy superman bodybuilder guy gif showing up in another thread. So, that's a positive.

I don't think anyone would complain about anything if we had 2 romances for each preference, or maybe 3. But it's easy to see how one group getting two extra romances while the rest doesn't would be really unfair. Woman complained how the ME3 romances were unfair for femshep, and they were completely right about that. So they could have the courtesy to accept the complaint that men are getting the short end of the stick here (as homosexual people are, for the matter). But it's especially jarring how one of the romances is even denied something as basic as an sex scene. So in the end straight man and lesbian woman were particularly screwed by Bioware in this game when it came to romance

Which is almost impossible to do because everyone has a preference and Bioware can't account for it
Every Bioware game is gonna have romance options that doesn't appeal to someone, that's natural and is always gonna happen

What's so impossible about giving 3 romance options for each sexual preference?

Well there's already complaints about DAI having too many romance options, I doubt going 9 is gonna be any better. And like I said above there's no guarantee that those 3 are gonna appeal to someone.
It's all based on how Bioware wants to write the romance options

And even with three, there'd be people complaining. People have complained about every single LI at some point. There's no pleasing everyone.
Plus, I can already hear the complaints about having six LGBT characters in the game. People already think that having 5 out of 12 major characters is too much. They'd lose their minds if there were more.

Is anyone tired of the turmoil yet? Anyone else want 4 bi options again? Maybe with gay/hetero/genderfluid/demisexual/polyamorous/etc. characters on the sidelines for representation's sake?
Think about it, 4 characters, all of which could be actually plot-relevant. Who could all be Companions rather than having to shove some of them off to side characters? Which could have maybe ten whole minutes of Romance content rather than the five we are getting now.
Eh. maybe it's just me.

Sex scene =/= romance. What they did was a positive.

Says who?
If you mean it being a positive, fans whose opinion are just as valid as anyone else's does. Also the people who were involved in creating Josephine, since they all love how her character and romance turned out.
If you meant the sex scene =/= romance part, logic does. There are people who are in romantic relationships in which sex does not occur.

It's obviously not a universal positive, as the existence of this thread indicates. A lot of people are not happy with it.

I don't see it as a positive or a negative, just something the writer and animator didn't want to do for the character

I wonder if all the people involved in that decision still think it's a good idea. I doubt they imagined the backlash that would occur, but I wonder if they think the backlash was worth it.

Well, as I said above everyone involved wanted to tell that story and loved how it turned out.
Plus Bioware is looking into doing romances without sex/optional sex scenes more since they know there are a lot of people who want that.

Yes, I meant in a subjective way. Myself and a lot of others are happy with it.
I don't think there is anything that is an objective, universal positive.

I don't know about "a lot", but I imagine opting out of the sex scene will be more common.
Making more LI options with no sex scene period seems like a good way for more thread like this to appear for the entire life of the game.

There is a lot. Hopefully.
Threads complaining about aspects of romances will never disappear. At least there being romances where sex isn't mandatory has an objective gain for a lot of people.

An Alternate Appearance Pack for the advisors would be nice.
For example Cullen could be in his old Templar armor, Josephine could be in a dress, and Leliana could be in her DAO Concept Art apparel.

Well, her Voice Actress contributed too. Those three were Team Scribbles.
I haven't seen a backlash for this either, or rather not this specifically. A few complaints, but nothing that I'd call a backlash.

I always thought her dress was meant to be the one in the tarot card (which I agree looks a lot better than the in-game version).
