So, I'm in the Planar Prison & I've killed almost everything but lost an NPC, Auren, who fell into one of the 'holes.'

I saved Auren's equipment & am ready to raise dead w/Anomen.

But, every time I try to sleep, I go thru the sleep sequence but the game freezes up as soon as I get to the part where I'd be able to start playing again.

The Error Massage says, "An Assertion failed in ObjCreatureAI.cpp at line number 17023.

I have three saves, two of them doing this same thing every time.

I have an Auto Save that is before my party entered the prison & I could go back but I prefer to drive on.  Help is appreciated so I can continue the butt whoopin'.

It sounds like you've already tried saving and reloading, but have you tried restarting your computer before reloading?

Yup, I'd restarted, cast some spells, walked around, did whatever I could think of that might 'jar the lockup loose'.

I ended up going on w/o raising Auren & after we defeated the Chasme (Tan'narri/Master of Thrall's), I tried to rest & it worked just fine.  Was able to raise Auren & get her back to strength.  Good thing too, b/c she killed two Umber Hulks & a Minotaur by herself during the final battle.  That allowed the rest of us to dust off the other three Umber Hulks, so that the only enemy left was the Cambion (Warden).

I thought I was gonna lose my 'no-reload' b/c I wasn't gonna have a usable save.  That would be CRUSHING Grond0!!!

Interesting. This suggests a scripting problem. I remember people running across this problem in the room with Kangaxx' tomb.  Never saw a solution to it, except for leaving the area where the crash occurred. In your case, however, killing the Master of Thralls seems to have solved the problem. Which in it's turn would suggest he was the problem. You could try and check with this little tool: http://www.shsforums...ea-cre-checker/
