Nope still better than geth or cerberus.
It's not a contest.
Actually, yes it is, and the Collectors win.

Well collectors can be somewhat annoying with all their power-blocking and an odd buttlazoring-right-through-softcover (on the same token you can get a headshots medal by shooting it the same place lazors came from hehe) by here and there but compared to Geth/Cerberus it's nuthin still. That accidentally, ever so slightly, power-immune captain (well it is Condor it's expected hehe)? Well, he's a complete amateur compared to hunters who i swear have a separate independent geth-platform powering their blasted shotguns, RC-aces of the rocket troopers, RHA-ing phantoms, Ati's rockets of Doom, and invisible Turrets (!), etc, etc.. And Collectors Platinum waves' composition is as bullsh#t-light as they go, plus Aboms ![]()
P.S. Aim you say... Well you haven't seen me trying to aim at anything using controller on PS3 _before_ the first wave kicks off, half the screen swings is where the true skill is! Honestly can't fathom how you people manage to master the damn thing ![]()

And isn't that what the true meaning of headshot?
Try a PS4 gamepad. Both 360 and the similar to 360 gamepad PS4 one are quite a bit better then the PS3 gamepads. PS3 gamepads require more fine aiming. Why I over aim all the time on the PS3 one (gives the feeling that analog sticks respond to less range) and even on the WiiU to a slight lesser extent then PS3. So my headshot capabilities on the WiiU & PS3 are non-existent, which alone makes the game much, much harder. Since this game is all about aiming.
Speaking of gamepads, I can't believe EB Games Canada sells PS3 & 4 gamepads for $74. What a rip off. Stick to regular game stores, kids. Plus you can also buy near mint (if not mint) gamepads for much cheaper, since modern gamepads have lasting issues anyway (but still last much longer then anything you find for PC).
Really? The Collectors have one bullshit unit and that's the Praetorian with their drill round XXXIV lasers that kill you through walls and sometimes after death. That isn't **** compared to the mother ****** Geth with god damn rocket troopers that triple tap you through walls, hunters that kill you while frozen or trapped in stasis, bombers that cannot be effected by hit scan powers, etc and that just scraps the surface of the Geth.

Scions are BS. Doing 4 times the damage of a Prime with similar ROF and similar health (I know, shoot the puffs, still bullshit). Not to mention grenade carpets. Seekers are bullshit. Not even negotiable.
A-bomb splosion sounds are awesome, but they are bullshit too, because explosions go trough walls.

Collectors are the best faction designed. I can overlook every glitches in this game just because collectors exist. They are absolutely fantastic!

What's your opinion about Scions ? I dunno if they're more reactive on PC, but on consoles they're so slow to react that with good dps kits you can kill them without any reaction from them, nor defensive nor offensive. I don't find it to be a good design.

They can be easy to kill but they can also kill you with relative ease. That's exactly why I like them. If you can put up with a minor BS (wallhax lasers), they offer the best challenge. Their high DPS is balanced with their big heads and ease of stagger.
Other factions have units which are way more dumb - brutes and guardians stand out. Geth are actually more uniform with their mid-tier units.
What I don't understand is how people whine about seekers being BS. They may lock you out of powers and hitbox can be a bit weird at times but the player can control it not blowing up on them. Unlike cerberus smoke, which you have no control over. Without geth scanner, you can't see anything but they can perfectly shoot you.
I don't care though. I do like fighting collectors and feel that they improved my game and increased my longevity more than the other factions. Hence, why I said they were the best design. I don't think any other faction would've done the same.

I think they're more likely considered irritating than real BS.

Uh, a Seeker Plague has an 8 meter explosion radius. That's more than a Fury or Slayer covers in 1 dodge (7 meters) Even a Jetpack Turian covers exactly 8 meters in 1 burn, so he will still get affected. The explosion also goes through walls. Not to mention there were countless times, where I charged a Captain, who still managed to spawn a Seeker, that instantly exploded, left me with no shields, no power use and with reduced weapon accuracy. And since Captains have BS weapon damage that is higher than Marauders/Centurions, he mowed me down in less than a second.
Also, the hitbox is completely bugged and they have way too much health. I mean jeez, a Plague can tank like 3 Talon shots from a GI.

Makes perfect sense to me for a game with such massive maps and only 8 enemies at once. I even wish those Seeker Plagues and Nets were always getting tossed out on their own instead of Captains having to waste time for them.
Jetpack turian can avoid seeker plague. I even dodged it with a drell flip.
Not if a plague is in your face when you turn the corner. So it's just the same as with Cerberus smoke, you still need Geth scanner to avoid them.

Massive maps? Lulz. They are really small, it's just the layout on some of them, that make them appear bigger than they are. And 8 enemy limit is because Biower was too dumb and didn't fully understand the Unreal Engines 3.5 capabilities and it's pathfinding, so there's a lot of wasted performance and calculations that the A.I. has to do for no raisin.
You know why folks catch the plague? Because they too busy focusing on all the buttlazer action.

Not for the amount of enemies in them. Basically the game should not of been able to solo. That way folks wouldn't have a reason to retire or not revive pugs. This is supposed to be a team game.

Captains are like Engineers. The first thing they do after spawning is crap out seekers (Cerberus nerds beeline to place a turret, ignoring everything that goes around them) And so, no matter how fast you kill them, some spawn on another side of the map and inevitably poop seekers or turrets.

If it's suppose to be a team game, you should no be able to enter a mission alone and there should be no solo challenges. And since every objective is glitched in some way, it's actually often faster and easier to solo and exploit all the crappy programming.

You know, that's like the one thing I miss on WiiU. The bee sounds at the start of wave 1 Collectors. Man I love that sound.
PS - Engineers have to first go to turret location. Not so for Collectors.
One final point and I'm out.
Enemies waiting around the corner is not unique to plagues. Phantoms, RTs, etc wait around corners. It's common to all factions. By that logic, every single enemy is bs.
Cerberus throw smoke in plain sight. When you see a captain launching a swarm in plain sight, you have enough time to counter it. When atlases launch smoke in plain sight, you lose track of the dangerous enemies but they can shoot you and rush you just fine. No other faction does it.
Collectors have BS but compared to other factions, they have the most avoidable BS.
Counter it how ever you want but I am done.
Reapers have the most avoidable BS by far. Everything is audible/visual.

Then how come I still get synced by Banshees? Though I barely recall being sync killed my Praetorians.
EDIT - oh wait, weak dps on my end contributes to this too since I can't just melt them.
