Greetings, everyone!

This is a list of what I want from the new Mass Effect game arriving next year and my reasoning for desiring such.

1. Greater Customization

The first ME was probably my favorite because of the sheer amount of customization that you could add to your character. This included having different ammo types for each weapon, gun qualities/perks, armor qualities, etc. I found that these were removed in the later ME games, which I believe to be a critical error on BioWare's part. Customization shouldn't be limited to equipment. The game should also host a plethora of skill and talent leveling. In the first ME, there were many skills that you could upgrade, that number winnowed down to less than ten in ME3.

2. Non Linear Story

I disliked ME3 because of its linear story, and several other reasons. Yeah, it made sense because you were trying to fight off the reapers and gather reinforcements, but the whole story felt rushed and straight forward. I loved the massive amount of exploration and side quests that the first two installments offered. Please bring that back to the franchise. It looks like an exploration type game, so hopefully this will be implemented.

3. Dialogue and Character Development

Another reason I disliked ME3 so much was because of the dialogue. Shepard would talk for a couple of minutes, then you would have two options, usually one worded, and then he/she would talk for a couple more minutes. For me, it was a devastating blow to the game. The first two games, you had multiple options at multiple points in a conversation that could alter the entire situation which is why I loved the first two games so much. Character development is another major element that should be included in this game. ME2 excelled at this. You got to know your crew on a level that is unparalleled in any game that I've played, bring this back in your next game.

A pretty short list, but those are the main points I want out of the next game. The main takeaway is this: put a lot of the RP elements back into the game that were present in the first two installments. The third felt like primarily a third person shooter with very little elements of roleplaying, while its predecessors felt like a dynamic roleplaying experience that happens to be a third person shooter.

1) Interesting companions - with a good variety of races, with rich backstories and personalities to discover. That said, I don't want they to get rid of human companions like most people seem to want. I loved Kaidan and James, and I want characters like them again. To please people that don't want them, make every party member optional. Let us start alone and then meet the companions along the way, and then if we like them we recruit them.

2) More RPG - Seriously Bioware, don't turn this in a space call of duty  <_<  I want more choices of dialogue, and a less binary reputation system. I want to talk with the party members like I could in ME1 and 2, and the return of ME1 character skill three - charm and intimidate branch included. Being able to spend xp in these qualities offered more freedom on what kind of dialogue options I could use, and I was not required to say renegade responses If I wanted unlock further options of them. All that would contribute for a more personal role playing experience.

3) Armors for EVERYONE, and no bloody breather masks - I mean, there's already a separate topic just for this, but I can't emphasis this more. These characters are often under HEAVY gunfire and in the VOID. It's ok for sexy characters to use catsuits or even wander around half-naked wen aboard the ship or in hub worlds, but if they are in the middle of a fight or in places were there's no oxigen and even a sustainable atmosphere, they should use a proper armor.

4) Well written and coherent story - This is just here because of your last mistakes with ME3 and you are well aware of the reasons lol

5) Diverse Character Creator - The CC in DA:I was a step in the right direction, just keep expanding the options and this time, give us some decent hair and eyebrows please -_-

6) "Less romantic romances" - I know, it sounded weird, but let me explain  This time, It would be nice to have the option approach intimate situations more casually, without committing to a closed relationship to the characters. Yes we all love our drama filled virtual boyfriends/girlfriends, but to add a different spice to the roleplaying, more casual relationships would be a nice touch. Since the story off this game feels less dramatic, I think it's the perfect game to try this concept on.

7) Improve the "Adept" class -  Since this is the class that focus more on biotic powers, it would be an interesting change of pace to play using ONLY powers. Hey I'm all in for a space mage lol Imagine the mayhem you could make conjuring a biotic tornado?  *-* Or trowing biotic energy balls from your hands? Since it's been at least 100 years from the last game, improvements to biotic implants could be an easy explanation for the new powers, and they could be explored in the story in various ways.

I know 7 it's the least possible to happen, but they need to make at least 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5  happen. This is an RPG after all, not a static story.

I knew someone would react like this  But that was seriously not my point. I just want to play a "starlord" kind of character in this game, without the commitment factor at least in the beginning. Eventually I would end up liking a character ( I usualy do in bioware games) and have my char settle down with him. This story feels lest dramatic, were not in the blink of extinction anymore, so it would be interesting to play a more easygoing type character.

Don't MMO it. As in, DAI's style of large areas with quests of seemingly no import and depth.

I would prefer better customisation to more. If you look at the weapons available in ME1 for example, the only difference between them was the numbers - this is why I personally prefer the weapons in ME3 - there may not be as many (although IMO, ME1 had too many), but there are much bigger differences between them, which keeps things more interesting. Same thing with the skill levelling - I want more options that I had in ME3, but I want better ones than ME1; again, it came down to just numbers too often.

2. Non Linear Story

I disliked ME3 because of its linear story, and several other reasons. Yeah, it made sense because you were trying to fight off the reapers and gather reinforcements, but the whole story felt rushed and straight forward. I do miss the exploration, and am psyched that it's gonna be back, but I don't understand how people find ME3 too linear. Some extra side-missions would have been nice, but I like the main story as it is. Besides, you're fighting a massive war, it wouldn't make sense to be able to constantly run off.

3. Dialogue and Character Development

Another reason I disliked ME3 so much was because of the dialogue. Shepard would talk for a couple of minutes, then you would have two options, usually one worded, and then he/she would talk for a couple more minutes. For me, it was a devastating blow to the game. Honestly, I've been surprised by the number of times that different dialogue options in ME1/2 have been of little consequence to the conversation. Again, I've never seen the problem with the amount (or rather lack of) dialogue options in ME3, but maybe that's just me. Although part of me does think that it was quite likely because the sheer number of variables made it hard for the writers to create a lot of extra dialogue - I mean, ME3 contains more than 30,000 lines. There's only so much work the writers (and everyone involved in the recording process) can do.

I preferred the squad dialogue in ME3. The conversations seemed less linear than ME1, and less like an interrogation (Shepard asks a LOT of questions). Also, I love the way they moved around the ship between missions - it made everything seem more alive.

Personally, I want better hair, more big consequences to my actions, more side-quests, and more biotic powers for Sentinels.

Just a quick thought, I'd like more decisions that are based on gameplay rather than choosing a dialogue option. Games like Dishonored and Deus Ex: Human Revolution does this very well. Although they do it through game mechanics that probably won't be present in MEA. Another one that has cool moments of decision is Wolfenstein: The New Order.

What I want from mass effect Andromeda is a game that has been developed with little to no influence from fans of the series. Fans of anything rarely know what they are talking they want things they don't really understand.

Having said all that I would prefer side quests similar to gwent from the Witcher 3. GTA V had a bunch and Bethesda seem to be the masters of the side quest might be because there is little difference to their main quests.

Side quests like in those games is where you get the '200 hrs of gameplay' from. :)

You do know that Mass Effect 3 was the end of the trilogy? Mass Effect 3 was the final act and even so it was as non-linear as games seem to get. I mean come on dude, you could kill Ashlea or Kaiden or you could let your friend kill them as you watched or, of course you could let them live (boring). That is just one part of the game with multiple paths. There are plenty more examples. Most games have a linear story in that regardless of most of the choices you choose or can choose it is  a story about the main character protecting/killing/defeating/avenging... something.

4) Well written and coherent story - This is just here because of your last mistakes with ME3 and you are well aware of the reasons lol

Like what? I haven't met anyone in the video game industry (or anywhere else) that can create a perfect world, or universe, free of any logical failings. I mean if you think you have a better grasp on the written word than the writers bioware employs maybe you should apply for a job. :o

Regarding the way conversations for the primary character are handled in ME4:

One of my early concerns with Shepard's commonly spoken dialog in ME-1 was his/her asking others for information that an Alliance officer, who has attaimed the rank of Commander, should have known. For example: Nihlus told Shepard that the prothean's "... legacy still remains. The Mass Relays, the Citadel, our ship drives -- it's all based on prothean technology." A commander serving aboard the Normandy with Admiral Hackett should be telling them that he/she already knows this history and the basis for their current technology. Shepard knew practically knowthing about the Spectres? It didn't make sense that he'd/she'd have no idean about them.

My point here is that when we arrive in Andromeda, I'd like the lead character to demonstrate in conversations they already have some basic knowledge commensurate with their experience.

You guys understand that the next ME is likely to parrot Destiny in many ways, right?
