"Bullying" the Single Player forum consists of suggesting that perhaps the game doesn't need to depict every possible permutation and combination of genders, races, and species engaged in sexual congress.  I'm not necessarily endorsing bullying--I'm just saying that some people might benefit from getting a wedgie, having their lunch money taken, and being shut in their own lockers.

I really don't see the posts as bullying. I feel like a countering opinion is pretty necessary. I can't stand the inane arguments in any place that is related to Mass Effect. If it wasn't for MP and the MP community, I couldn't stand the game OR the lore. Everyone else is just complaining about their favorite shipping and about non-human antagonists. 

 

 

edit: I'm staying out of that entire subforum... I am really interested in what the MP will look like and what will change, but people seem to think that the next game is going to be The Sims with a plot. Do they even like science fiction of any sort?

No, most don't. I made a thread asking for more realism and consistency of the supposed science in the sci-fi... and people didn't like it, because they are afraid it would make the game boring. Romances are a subplot at best but for some it's the most important element of a game. -.-

I would LOVE if the game was more along the path of harder sci-fi, but it seems to be clear that the game will never be developed that way. Some internal consistency would be nice. There are already so many nonsensical and lore-breaking powers in the game (biotic charge, annihilation field, adrenaline mods for geth/aiu, any human but Shep using the claymore and still having intact arms) that I feel like arguing many of them is a moot point, even if I like them.

 

And yeah, romances are less than an hour of a game that lasts 20-40 depending on speed and skill, but SP forums would have you think that ME is a relationship simulator and not a scifi shooter >.>

would you not trigger them please? you will give them PTSD, and they might talk bad about us on tumblr. their 12 otherkin followers might think less of us.
