Please no more only humans heroes like Shepard in single player game(personally i never have interest in Mp, only in single game)

We already play 3 games in ME universe as a human who work for alliance and cerber, and ME have a rich universe so please do not make us be only humans when it have much more.

Give us Quarians(healthy) and others who are human like aliens so this will not be really hard to make them playable and make their dialogues and cut-scenes with them.

PS. this post is not about "you can play as non-humans in Multiplayer" and "i want to play only as humans and aliens does not needed", so for those who like only human protagonist, this topic is not for you, and you already have your human protag.

Sorry, but it's been confirmed already that only humans are playable in the story mode.

Playing as a human probably fits the story.  I like the thought of being able to play as a non human but it has to fit the story.

I support this. I really want to play an alien, and this seems the perfect time to start.

I'd like that, too - if the story really is an Ark-Concept (meaning: Build a ship, got to Andromeda (possibly to avoid the reapers/save the races of citadel space)), then it should not be humans who are the sole leaders...it should be more of a council and that would make it quite possible to give us an alien main character :)

greetings LAX

ps: It's also something fans have wanted since Mass Effect 1 - so why not give it to us? (human is kind of boring...sorry, if I could experience life as an alien, I would!)

It was already confirmed that we will be playing as Humans. I'm sure this is because the way they want to tell the story (as in the original trilogy), it just wont work as non-human.

While still humanoid, the alien species' physiology differs wildly, making different armor sets and cutscenes for each necessary. Costs would go through the roof. In a kissing scene, Krogans would appear to be eating their LI rather than making out.

Better doing it not at all than half-hearted. I usually avoid playing human (dwarves/orcs ftw) if I can, too but I can think of a couple reasons why this won't happen.

No, look at DAI and how much the Player character sucked because they had to shoehorn in 3 more races.

Hell no. Multiple races is a big part of DAI's failing. A lack of cutscenes and a generic, lifeless protagonist is not a price worth paying for race selection.

The Inquisitor was better than the human-only Hawke and Shepard.

In your opinion. In contrast, a vast majority of people complained of the Inquistor sucking so you're wrong.

Completely and emphatically disagree. I'd put the Inquisitor over the Warden, but he/she is nowhere near Shepard and Hawke.

Say what you want about DA 2 but Hawke is arguably bioware's most entertaining protaginist and you can shape his/her personality in more ways than any other bioware protaginist (diplomatic, sarcastic, or aggressive) and that is due in large part because of how defined his/her background was.  Shepard on the other hand is pure epic.  So if anything Shepard and Hawke are arguments for the human only protagonist.  Now don't get me wrong I am glad DA went back to racial options for a protagonist but ME is a different animal from DA and whatever protagonist options there are in ME have to fit with the story.

Hawke was my favorite Bioware protagonist.

More like that please. Not necessary all the tragedy and heartbreak part, but the personality.

I remember the first time I tried out a sarcastic Hawke, never laughed so much in one playthrough of a bioware game.

Exactly. I don't want a character who's personality and history only exist in my head. That completely defeats the purpose of playing a video game rather than a table top RPG.

Or, they could just forego wasting resources on SP and give us only MP. Then we can play as many non human heroes as we want.

Hell no.

Hawke (especially the sarcastic one) was the best Dragon Age protagonist ever.

Shepard was always interesting.

The Inquisitor though? Bland, boring, lifeless cardboard cutout. The few times they could have been interesting they were arrogant jerks. Yay.

And yet some say that only John Shepard and I shares this view.....

The only thing that made the IQ a good PC is the fact that he can talk, nothing more and nothing less.  It puts him a pinch above the Warden.  But the Warden still had more personality as a mute than the IQ.  At least I laughed at some of the dialogue options I could choose for him along with the NPCs reactions to it.  My favorite scene in DAO is ticking off Alistair so much to the point where you get his "I hate you" speech and being able to not give a single f*ck about his butthurt had me dying laughing.

Hawke and Shepard were just epic PCs.
