even if it spends a month in a cardboard box on some freighter and passes through customs and the postal service accidentally routes it through the collector homeworld before it comes to me i bet it will still taste better than the miserable excuse for pizza they serve where i live

Lol, no meat's on any real pizza. Unless you mean cured meats. You you can find ham and something like that, but you'll never find meat on it. We're not barbarians.

It may be a moldy, stale mess of awful that probably poisons you because it's not dextro chirality, but at least you can eat solid pizza rather than the burning liquid hot pocket filling I have to make do with via the induction port.

Probably not. I would guess that it was an example of what often happens with me when I'm searching for images.

 

I'll do a gügle image search, and get a page full of image results. The page in question has a lot more in common with one of our forum pages here with linked images in it than it does with whatever websites are individually hosting those images. It is basically showing me an internet archive of images from the websites, but not the actual images themselves.

 

Most of the time, I can just link the image from the archive and it won't make any difference. Sometimes, however, the archive's settings and image url are actually different from the host site's, and in some cases, the original image no longer exists at its original location, and only the archived image can be accessed.

 

So several weird things can happen if you link to the archive, rather than the host site:

 

- The image can come through broken

 

- The image can have a long data string as a url, rather than one of the accepted image file extensions.

 

- The image can be a very different size and resolution from the host site's (while still having the same url, in some cases.)

 

- If host site's image no longer exists, and the archived one's url is an unrecognized data string, then the image won't be able to be linked, at all.

 

In your case, I suspect you saw an archived image, and the cookie from the search made it appear that size even after you linked it. Once the cookie was no longer active, you saw the image at its actual, hosted size, which is what the rest of us would have seen.
