^What that says^

I tried it on a Gold PUG yesterday, only took a Viper because I thought I'd rely on combo's, but they just weren't happening.

Pull, then Drell Punch for 9001% Biotic Combo.

Pull + Reave, or Reave + Cluster Grenades. Pull primes only against unshielded unarmored targets, Reave primes against everything.

Only use Pull. It gets you better at lifting with repeated use.

See, I was trying Pull + Reave, because I was sure that was a good combo, but it didn't make anything go boom. At all. Ever. Maybe I had some weird lag thing going on.

Was the target "lifted" (floating in the air) ? Because even with lag you should have had some booms.

Yep. They were floating like the precious little fairies they were born to be.

Reave->Cluster Grenades. For tougher enemies = Reave->shoot (with warp ammo)->Cluster Grenades. Pull->Reave is too situational to rely on for BEs.

Weird. A possible explanation is that someone shooted the targets with incendiary or disruptor ammo, bypassing thus the biotic priming.

Weird. A possible explanation is that someone shooted the targets with incendiary or disruptor ammo, cancelling thus the biotic priming.

Reave bypasses that though. Reave is one of the few that bypasses to a biotic primer.

And this is why I run my Drelldept with a good AR or Shotgun and the Warfighter or Shocktrooper packages.

Biotic booms are nice, but trollers gonna troll. Definitely one of the few kits where I fully advocate playing the weapon. Reave is for causing stagger and getting DR, Grenades are for damage, and when you get a team that doesn't stop the boom, it's beautiful.

Only reason a pulled target wouldn't be detonated by reave if they're still floating would be if they are already dead.

Were you getting the ragdoll effects and not the sound cues? If so I've had that one a number of times, you're still getting BEs just not the sound cues.

Reave, warp ammo, grenades with detonation evolution.

I was indeed thinking that I never got a BE bypassed when I triggered the combo With Reave. Do you have in mind the other powers with this property ?

Singularity explosion I think is the only other one off the top of my head. Everything else is up front direct damage that will detonate whatever is the last applied primer I believe.

^I have the same impression. Warp, Shockwave, Throw... definitively give tech explosions when the biotic primer has been bypassed.

I was thinking that maybe the BEs weren't happening because of another primer, but now realise that can't have been the issue. Maybe weird game is weird.

Possibly. But the BEs must have been pretty weak because they weren't showing up in the kill feed.

What difficulty? Rank of primer/detonator?

A low ranked pull primer probably wouldn't result in a BE kill since reave has no modifiers. Reave would likely get the kill afterwards. You would think that BEs would kill better on lower difficulties but they are modified by difficulty as well. Reave cluster nades though should always **** the world of the enemy up as long as you're getting detonations, clusters can detonate other explosion types though.

Reave: 6, all a
Pull: 6, all b
Nades: 4a. 5a. 6b
Drell Assassin: 3

Fitness: 4b, 5b

It was a Gold match.
Reave/Nade BE's only seemed to be happening when I used them on big mobs like Brutes, but still weren't doing as much damage as I expected. I'm now about 99% convinced that wired game is wired.

Lag can do it. Not usually enough to prevent all of them, but it might have been a particularly bad case.

If you want to try again, check Pull to make sure that you haven't taken any of the DoT or Damage bonus ranks (they can kill the target before the BE, and ultimately lower damage output on a BE-based build by preventing the collateral damage to other enemies.)

I think it's likely just that match or she had some serious tech based powers on the teammates in her team. Bad enough lag can result in packet loss so technically I guess you could lose a primer or detonator entirely, it has to be pretty damn bad though and generally when I had this I wasn't even getting nades out, my drell was just fist pumping the whole match.
