I know. That alone makes Devilish Redhead Thread #566 inherently flawed. That and the lack of IT Crowd.

I think it's a strong show even after they branched out into being more Sci-Fi stuff.

That JFK episode is solid.

I think it only took a dive after Rimmer left and got replaced by Kochanski. And Season 8. And I wasn't big on Back to Earth either.

But I didn't mind Season 10 from what I watched from it.

Back To Earth was kind of stupid IMHO because the Earth they visit is very much like our Earth. Isn't this supposed to be the future?

But that's more a show budget thing than anything else..

Kochanski was put in to keep the younger male viewers nothing else.

It's all a dream because of a Squid from a way earlier episode. So it actually wasn't Earth.

It came at the cost of Rimmer and making Kryten so damn annoying. I won't deny she was pretty fine. But man she was not handled well.

At least we got The Rimmer Experience.

Keeping up Appearances is probably one of my favourites.

My grandmother acts almost exactly like that.

I have an Aunt who acts like a less-subtle Ms Slocombe

Not really British since Father Ted was shot in Ireland and made by Irish. But it was on the request of and showed by Channel 4.

Putting Father Ted under the category "old" is really depressing....

I'm to unsophisticated for those shows, I only used to watch reruns of Benny Hill and Monty Python.

Just take any American sitcom and there is a good chance it will be a bad knock off of some British comedy.
