Last time I checked, guardians were mooks :P

And they can't spawn on rafters/jetpack use spawns.

Yes, there's obviously more than 1 exception to that rule.

What? Have you ever seen a guardian jetpack his way up on the map?

I've seen them combat roll and pick up a shield after they've had one pulled away. That is fortunate though, an unshielded guardian is a killing machine.

I see. Knowing this game, I couldn't just rule that out. I'm pretty sure there is a weird condition that will make guardians jetpack

And yeah I've seen them roll with a shield too. Same way I've seen Pyros roll, etc...

At this point I'd invoke your Origin ID :D

ok. Just to make sure this thread doesn't drift into the irrelevance off-topic oblivion ( same troll mob deja vú in most threads :
  • I've added similiar spawn/way point map for Dagger, yesterday evening.
  • re-editing the maps from Lynx7725.
  • Took suggestion from JAMiAM into account - Added Legend/Map Keys for sauce.
  • Added some coordinate system so that its is easier to extend waypoints (ie @XmYn =D)
  • Coordinate system should approximate in-game distances - Appreciate if someone has the "absolute" size in me3 meters
  • Probably needs more corrections/confirmation than Heldarion's map. (ie I only inserted those Cerberus Turrets where I re-lived a horrible repeated death, there are definitely more).
  • Noticed that Hacking objectives were missed in Glacier map, above. Again, its probably also one of those "pretty obvious" things for veterans, but still useful for us rookies.
  • ...Probably should be ashamed that I've not noticed an absolute coordinate for Geth Turrets (G) and Collector Webs as pattern up till now.
Post edit : If you notice some maps going black (sooner or later) - it's because they're not my latest: now maintained here :http://forum.bioware...acking-on-maps/

I don't have think hacking objectives are dependent on waypoints, even though I included them in the opening post:

- generating a zone for the hack objective (this seems to be somewhat iffy and sometimes appears to be set between waypoints rather than around waypoints)

because:
- hack activation spots or centres of hack zones usually don't correspond to any waypoints
- it encompasses a bigger area as opposed to a single waypoint

I'll have to re-check that for Glacier, though.

***

Some missing spots for Cerberus turrets on Dagger:

X1,Y15
X6,Y4; there's one more further up at Y7-Y10, but I don't remember the location 100%
X9,Y12
X20,Y8
X19,Y28
X12,Y25
X23,Y19

There's probably a couple more.

Enemy spawns:

X2,Y20 - usually goes undetected because people frequently camp the tower
X12,Y25
X20,Y28
I think the X19,Y19 spawn is a bit to the right, at about X23

Good job!

While mapping out device objective waypoints that I missed (and miss them I did plenty), I figured out the devices objective, which is split in two in the coalesced file (DisarmEnable and DisarmDisable) uses two entirely different subsets of waypoints, which are now marked out on the Glacier map in the OP. It appears that each half of the objective uses both waypoint subsets, so I'm not entirely sure what's the point.

If the devices that need to be enabled/disabled are called:
- Remote Weapon Trigger (that dild0-like looking thing - edit: damn censure)
- Data Router
- Intel Data Sink
- Intel Data Backup
- Communication Router,

they all, except for the Remote Weapon Trigger, look like this:
intel-data-backup.jpg

They use waypoints marked with yellow stars (see the picture in the opening post)

If the devices that need to be enabled/disabled are called:
- Indoctrination device (the Geth-like looking thing)
- Communication Array/Communication Scrambler (some thick-stick-like looking thing)
- Data Center (big box)
- Data Siphon (small box),

they use most of the waypoints marked with red stars.

There might be more names those things are called, but I can't be arsed to do more research.

For the lulz I also enabled the Retrieve objective (Prothean Artifact pizza) and it seems to use the same waypoints as the normal pizza objective, but with more and smaller drop zones. Those Prothean pizzas usually spawn pretty close to the drop zones.

There are also 5 different waypoints (some of which overlap with the devices objective) marked with green stars, which are the activation points for the hack objectives.

...you probably saw this next one coming ;) --> or perhaps that's your way of saying : "me me me". Well, if you make noise in a meeting you get an action point. Roll up the sleeves : Hydra.  Fill in the dots. (The community have to get some worth of that veteran hours invested there).

For Hydra, (X,Y)=

(12,12), (26,20), (7,3), (4,29) are spawn points.

(2,6), (7,20), (4,29), (18,26) are pizza spawn points.

(9,25), (20,5) are hack spots.

(21,30), (18,26) are device locations.

There are a lot more but these are the ones that spring to mind.

No offense meant , but Hydra's accuracy is now the personal responsibility of Marksmad to upkeep. Feel free to have a go at the rest ;).

Thanks to a combination of curiosity and too much spare time, my Juggernaut once spent several minutes replaying the early bronze waves on Hazard Glacier a few times to track the swarm's movements.  (I didn't even shoot anything, since it was lolbronze and the swarm would eventually kill all the enemies for me.)  I wasn't patient enough to play past wave 2-3, but I can confirm that, for at least the first couple of minutes, the swarm follows an identical preset path every match: starting in the basement at waypoint 9 it moves through waypoints 10 and 12 towards waypoint 1 at the LZ, makes two (possibly three?) circuits of the balcony area, before exiting through the upper basement (i.e. back the way it came) and heading towards waypoint 2.  Exact same path every time.  Based on this I suspect that its route is entirely preset and not random at all, but not even I am patient enough to actually test it completely.

Maybe the pathing is linked to difficulty as well (I don't know), but aside from starting in the basement and going to LZ, it almost always chose a different path every time when I was testing that on Gold or Platinum.

... Bronze...I didn't even shoot anything, ... Exact same path every time.

Thx for investing the observation time and sharing with the community.
-the hazard swarm is sensitive to friendly fire only - (gets aggro- radius+damage when shot at),

so its behavior is definitely influenceable-

when shooting at enemies in, or behind it. It's possible that it's not only the aggro size that is influenceable, but also a trigger to jump onto another pre-programmed path - to get closer to the shooter (unconfirmed bias for g/p).

- during hacking objective on gold/plat (g/p) :

In the basement , the hazard swarm ends- and starts in the hacking zone -

so it helps to "kite" the enemies to the opposite side of the map, in that "lost" time / or risk many medi-gels and many heroic revival attempts against both

1) the aggro'd hazard swarm (some luckless player always shoot straight into it - in the hacking zone- probably unknowingly) and

2) the enemies/pets.

It's helpful to mention such tactic at the "cool" start of the hacking objective and not whilst the action happens, lest some hot headed Rambo/ Rambolina sees it as retreat , and the basal tooth-and-claw instinct kicks-in (interesting team psychology behaviour topic for another thread...). The other hacking zone locations leave more freedom to maneuver.

-I've had the pleasure of sharing the presence with the hazard swarm more than 5 times in g/p exactly the last 6 seconds around the extraction zone. Believe it's Timing coincidence.

- @ Heldarion - there seems to be multiple swarm path patterns covering large parts of the map - otherwise we could've colour threaded the various path's . Another suggestion for your glacier map : show the "safe" spots for non-veterans (ie spots not reachable by the hazard swarm- where we can hide (corner of wp 14, 11, redstar directly below wp 5, small room to the right of the lowest ammo crate )....

Actually, I can virtually confirm 100% that the path is preset, at least for the first few minutes into a match. It might change later, not sure.

But at the start, it's always the same. Reason why I don't start the wave where I'm used to on glacier in wave 1, but I instead start on top of the stairs going down from the hub/lab/whatever it is.

This is gold, of course.

Edit: it seems to have a fixed path through the rest of the game too, to be honest. I know it has very similar positions at the start of each wave, which enables me to know beforehand where should I start the wave.

Tsk. Tsk. Looks like Mad cow is not pulling his weight on Hydra, seems to be deftly hiding from this thread.
Anyway - here is Ghost. It would be helpful to get input on the scaled distances..

Post Edit - on popular demand ;) - Room next to Main street Shrunk - please cross check.
