Legion is the Geth Mobile Platform uniquely made to operate outside the Perseus Veil. As such, it is made up of 1183 Geth platforms in order to communicate with organics. Legion was sent out to investigate the Old Machine Nazara, also known as Sovereign, and ended up helping Shepard Commander in their fight against the Collectors. Legion wants to protect its people from both the Old Machine as well as their Creators, the Quarians, no matter the cost, and is an invaluable member to Shepard's team. And the answer to the question is yes.
