I've been experimenting with some hair mods, and i've met an obstacle i can't seem to figure out. Green neck and hairline. I'm guessing its the texture as you can see the texture in the green on her neck.

Anyone know how to fix this or what is causing this?

I have never had that problem, that looks really weird lol. I thought I had had and found all the problems in the book too.  the only thing I can think to ask you, and do not take offense to this, is have you read and downloaded the required items from Otte's hair modding post?  Are you keeping the head and the hair when you re-skin? Maybe can you give a brief overview of the steps you take to get the hair in the game, then I can tell you what you did or didnt do.

Also, here is a link to modding hair for ME3 by Otte, do not take offense, I am providing this link in case you didnt have it, and maybe for others who need it as well, who would like to mod hair or are having issues:

I had the exact same problem once. I had to tinker with the TextureParameters (HAIR_Mask, HAIR_Diff, HED_Mask and HED_Diff). I can't remember exactly what I did, but I think I either re-uploaded the modded files, or I reset them all to default textures and then re-added the modded textures again.

Here's some of the default files. I suggest just overwriting your modded textures with these defaults until you figure out which parameter is the one causing the green stuff:

HAIR_Mask: biog_hmf_hir_pro.Hair_PonyTail.HMF_HIR_Ptl_Diff

HAIR_Diff: biog_hmf_hir_pro.Hair_PonyTail.HMF_HIR_Ptl_Diff

HED_Mask: BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.Masks.HED_PRO_Mask3

HED_Diff: BIOG_HMF_HED_PROMorph_R.Diffuse.HMF_HED_PROCustom_Frek_Diff

If that doesn't help... it has something to do with the TextureParameter values. :c That's all I know, unfortunately. If it's possible the wrong texture got replaced, you can open an old vanilla save of your character and make sure ALL of the TextureParameter values are the same except for the modded ones (which should just be HAIR_ and HED_, as far as I know.)

Not taking offence at all! :)

I'm pretty sure i followed Ottemis' tutorial 100 %. I haven't looked at this for a while though, as i never got past the green neck. I'll port a new hair when i get time and write down what i'm doing, step by step. :) Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I will definitley look into this.

I just want to tell you if you are having issues with adding weights, like was, you can skip that part, after you skin wrap it, you can pretty much turn it into a psk if you want. I suck at making hair, I get a good one now and then, but try doing that ans see if it is still green.  But the other person who replied to you seems to know more than me so prob best to follow her advice.  I just stop after the skin wrap. lol dont tell anyone lol
