ha, ha!  If I took off my helmet after stuffing my long unpinned hair in there for hours of combat it wouldn't just shake out in nice neat shiny Pantene hair waves. It would be a ratty sweaty mess that I'd dread untangling later! People that have never had long hair don't need to design characters with long hair; they just don't have the real life experience to make it realistic and un-silly.

Lol.

You just took a pin to my beautiful puffed up balloon.

Maybe we can all suspend reality for a sec and enjoy? Wait,, wait!! I just thought of something. The Mass Effect Bio hairstyle high tech will prevent such catastrophies.

There you go! Perfect solution.

Perhaps to minimize the effort, they can do long hair when going to a bar on your R&R time. Maybe even on a date with your LI.

Are you listening Bio?

Couldn't you just use a hairpin?

.....but why would anyone want long hair to be realistic... that would mean hair shedding, oily hair, musty hair, dandruff, head lice....

yrah I'd love to see some hair physics in the next game whether we get it or not remains to be seen though. Whether we have a Miranda/Ashley style hair or whether we have it in a long ponytail or something as long as the hair has some life in it I think it would be much better. Whether they do it in an Anime style or not I'm not so sure as I'm not really sure that works with the Frostbite engine. Would be nice to have some longer ponytails than we had in DAI though if they decide to give us a couple though as the ponytail option in that wasn't great.

Listen, Bioware. We are going to mod your game to include long hair. Even the intensively restrictive DA:I has a niche modding commodity. Can you just save us all the hassle and put long hair in from the start? I mean, you didn't even keep to the "military" standard. (Looking at you, Ashley.)

There's so many threads on this subject but I'll continue to advocate: long, flowing shoulder-length hair (retro sci fi style) for both genders. I'm all for it. All day. Everyday.

I have to agree.  The hair in the CC for DA: Inquisition was pretty terribad, sadly.  It's not on the top of my list, of course, but CC shouldn't be overlooked either in a RPG.

Yeah I think it can be excused with DAI but this is definetely an area that needs to improve going forwartd. Luckily for the most part for me it makes up for those short comings in other areas but it definetely needs to improve in this area I think it will though with Andromeda especially as there is plenty of ideas on this very forum for Bioware to look at and consider. It's definetely something I hope and think will be stepped up.

I seriously always use mods for this exact thing and find myself going crazy until someone releases a decent hair mod. I really hope there are some better in-game hair options too.

unfortunately other than some for DAO i've never really found any hair mods that work. So I've pretty much made do with what's there but generally I find new ways to mix and match anyway to get many playthroughs out of the games. This is an area that still needs improvement though but I think it will happen. Given they only have to focus on humans this time it should make this job easier. Throw in some new hairstyles and maybe give us some hair physics hopefully will be a good start to really get us going on next gen.

Have you ever checked out GPG's mods? She has a ton of custom hairs and a few armor/casual wear tweaks.

Yeah I have and they're very nice Unfortunately I've never been able to get them working for me. That's kind of why I'd like to see Boware throw some extra stuff in from the start as it seems the only way I can get things working. There are a few on there I wouldn't have minded on my Shep but seeing as I can't get them to work I don't think it's going to happen.

I would like nicer hair as well, but I hope they'll avoid hairstyles that are too complicated. By complicated I mean ball-gown type of hair, hair that's too fancy for everyday life. That doesn't mean it shouldn't look nice, though.

I hope they'll have better options for eyebrows, too. There were only 2-3 pairs of eyebrows that were actually usable in DAI, the rest ranged from bushy to really bushy (the type of bushy that longs to be a unibrow). Not saying I want super-thin brows but some more moderate choices would be nice.

Thos DAI eyebrows..... Ugh.

This may be my favorite title for hair threads.

Fallout had great customization options from what I saw on YouTube. Take some inspiration from that game for options. There are so many good things that bioware can learn from other developers.

Good customization and better faces, period.. I'm kind of surprised, since Bethesda has been poor at this, like Bioware.
