I didn't see anything poor in Fallout 4. Their customization seems way more advanced in terms of options, etc.Good customization and better faces, period.. I'm kind of surprised, since Bethesda has been poor at this, like Bioware.
Better Hair Option for the love of Christ (who also had long hair)

No, I mean they've been poor in the past. Terrible. Oblivion especially.
I'm just saying they surprised me. It's a great looking game...even though it's just a suped up version of the same engine.

Faces? I dunno. I think the faces in Fallout 4 are actually pretty bad, and worse if we account for the actual animation of it. Expression and lip movement just aren't Beth's bag.

Perhaps Christ was bald.
But I'd like long hair too.

Some animations are OK. but faces, yeah. I like the general look far more than anything Bioware has done (and more than Bethesda themselves). As far as modeled faces go, I mean. The face scanning is still great looking.

No one has a genuine smile in FO4, fake smiles only.

the problem I have had with ME's character creation is the option for eye sizes, most of them make the character look like he/she is squinting or tired and you couldn't even select the wider eyes of the default Shepard faces.

Some of those eyes were nightmare fuel, a lot of em were nearly horizontal.

Ah, oblivion.. the game where you could spend a lot of time in the CC, look at your character and almost always think "this can't get any worse". Then you accidentally catch vampirism, forget to cure it and you will be proven wrong.. terribly, terribly wrong...

I don't even play Bethesda games. All I'm saying is that Fallout 4 had awesome custom options. Way better hair styles than bio.No, I mean they've been poor in the past. Terrible. Oblivion especially.

Just give the main character hair physics like Laura in Rise of the Tomb Raider. But just them only. No bald headed women please.

They can't though because these games use common hair assets for the main character and the others. So whatever they do for the MC hair they have to do for everyone else's hair.

As a longhaired male, it's time my people got some representation in one of these Mass Effect or Dragon Age games. It took SWTOR a couple of years to add "the Qui-Gon hair", but they eventually did.

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet (because frankly, I refuse to read 14 pages worth of a hair thread), but you know what would a nice touch? Having characters that wear their hair up (bun, pony tail, etc.) let their hair down under certain circumstances. Like when they are sleeping. Because I sleeping with your hair in a bun could result in a pretty nasty headache in the morning. And that's just not cool. And sure, it helps make characters feel more like actual living beings.
I think it would be small touch, but a nice one.

I've never used any of the longer, Ioose hairstyles in ME games. Never used hair mods either. My femSheps either wore that one short hairstyle or some of the buns and one of my recent ones had a crew cut, just because I like my girls combat ready at all times. There's also that question of practicality for me, I just can't imagine any of my femSheps delaying a mission just so they can fix their glamorous updo (that goes for hair mods especially).
That being said I would really love to see more variety in hairstyles. Short, midlength, long, bobs, ponytails, braids... with bangs and without. And not just straight hair. Waves and curls as well, for both male and female.
And I kinda don't care if it's stationary helmet hair that slightly clips through your armor as long as it looks good and realistic (even though DA2 had slightly moving/swaying hair -- but different engine, I know)
I would love a system that lets you chose a base hairstyle and then add to it - bangs, maybe a ponytail, maybe a braid, whatever strikes your fancy. Maybe leave it as is and it would look good on its own. Kinda like a better looking skull cap but with options
BW is building MEA on an engine they now have experience with and can use previous assets to tweak and build on - such as DA:I CC - so I believe they can invest more time into some nice hair options for our Ryder. ![]()
