It was an image presented to us on N7 2014:

 

 

Could the image above be "the ark" and essentially our hub world similar to The Citadel in the Mass Effect series?  The dev's on N7 day didn't say what that image is during that stream, and I've tried to review the section in which the image was displayed.

 

 

There's another image floating around on the internet for the Pathfinder/ArkCon logo:

 

 

According to the reddit forum I found this on, a user said it was tweeted out by the dev, but I can not find the link to provide, so take this as a grain of salt.

 

But also on in that reddit forum, some people are already guessing that the "ARKCON" means, "ark contingency" or "Alliance Research and Knowledge, Covert operations and Navigation." However, that pathfinder logo is confirmed because it's on the official ME:A website if you check the tab.

 

Regardless, this is just unconfirmed information, rumors, and some speculation on my part.  But the more I see others posting their theories, and similar information, the more I start to believe Ark Theory...

I still think that Citadel-looking place is Andromeda's Citadel. Maybe we use the Citadel Relay and it connects us to Andromeda's Citadel.

I have no idea whether there is an"ark" or not, but you can see that logo on the galaxy map  next to the word "andrmd" at the official MEA website.

Could be, but the dev in the N7 vid said they wanted something that felt familiar to ME series.  I doubt that the Andromeda alien species would have similar styles to ME species.

The Citadel is built by the Reapers, so would have a familiar feeling since it'd have similar architecture.

Nah, I think the BioWare crew choose space magic instead of an Ark because it is easier.

I wasn't making a dig or anything, just sure i've seen the post before, with the exact same layout and stuff haha. 

 

I think that the first picture is the Ark, which will act as the Citadel of the new games. RPGs need a hub where you can go to shops, do side missions and bonus stuff, like going to night clubs and stuff

The theory that it is the Ark also has it as a Citadel-type hub. Its both the means of getting Andromeda and serves as the main hub for the player while you explore Andromeda.

 

I don't have any preferences between the theories that it is the Ark or is a space station native to Andromeda, but I think either way that is going to be our replacement for the Citadel.

Me thinks there's almost definitely some kind of an "ark" in the game. There's the ARKCON Pathfinder logo and ARK word dropped all over latest trailer

Well, it would be interesting to get the "humans are outsiders" angle from ME1 but with all the other races like Krogan and Turians coming to Andromeda with the humans and meeting all kinds of new aliens and their respective civilization.

If that is the Ark, then it could mean that they may be going to Andromeda using relativity instead of mass effect. Traveling at 99.9% the speed of light will cause huge time dilation thus "shortening" the time of the trip for those aboard the ship. Gravity will be generated in the same way as in the Citadel by using centrifugal force.

If you watch the trailer, when he decides to go to a planet you see the greater star map. On the lower right hand side there seems to be 3 things linked up. They look like TMP, ARK, and ST, clearer than when flipping between slides. I would have preferred they got to Andromeda a different way but I think traveling via an Ark is looking increasingly likely (although still not confirmed even if there is an "Ark" in the game). If they did get there via an Ark I hope it is a long haul flight. Being able to get there in 200-500 years will be extremely detrimental to the story if they want to keep the galaxies separate.
