The thing is, if they found a relay then they could send QEC through and keep communicating with the Milkyway and request endless reinforcements and collonists.

Not sure how I feel about that, that would also bring the ending into question.

If they launch Before the reaper invasion and the Reaper invasion severs all Contact then that's all fine and well with me.

I brought up the QEC thing in another thread. The only way a relay link to Andromeda would work, obviously, would be if they destroyed the counterpart relay when they got there to prevent Reaper pursuit. This would be a contingency plan. It is a plan of last resort. They would deliberately cut all ties to the MW.

As for a QEC, it would be a convenient way to explore the outcomes of a post war MW galaxy and the consequences of Shepard's actions, while also having zero effect whatsoever on the story of Andromeda. It may be a good way to solidify a link to the prior trilogy and also give people more closure. Personally, I think it is a great idea.

You're missing a crucial point - time is relative. Yes, they would arrive 2.5 million years after leaving the MW. But to the crew, they would get there in several hundred at 99.99996% the speed of light or so. Push the speed further and you can get there in a single human lifetime. Special relativity is kind of neat like that.

Mhm. Just tell me, where would they take fuel for such a trip? Time may be relative, but the increase in energy required to move a ship nearing the speed of light means, that we still need enough fuel/energy for 2.5 million years trip. Perhaps even more - the more you approach LS, the more the mass of the ship increases (exponentially) - to infinity at 100% LS.

And because we know from Newton's Second Law of Motion that a=F/m, that would mean we need exponentially more force to give the ship any acceleration.

Relativity is not a way to go.

Travelling according to relativity rules with velocities nearing LS is impossible even on paper.

And it is already established in ME canon, that FTL travel does not use rules of relativity.

I can't be the only one who sees the blatant Cerberus emblem.

Well, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Guess I'll expect to see Cerberus back as a conspiracy of some sort behind the scenes.

I love Cerberus -- but I don't see it as an obvious Cerberus emblem

I think for the sake of the game, they wouldn't do a time dilation.  At least not of 2.5 million years.

It's similar enough.
You re Not the only one Dean. People already started speculating/joking about it.
If true, I'll laugh and cry At the same time.
