MP should "Effect" SP (just not story content for the most part)

If I am playing on the highest levels of MP and doing well then my skill level is pretty high.  As a reward for that as well as having the stones to take on the hardest difficulty the game has to offer I should get rewards to carry over if I ever choose to play through the story once or twice.  I have some suggestions.

 

1.  If we are just a random military person we should be getting a paycheck yes?  We should get additional money every pay period for being elite over just your run of the mill squads.  Quality over quantity.

 

2.  There should be romance options that are only impressed with the top tier of sexual beasts.  Holding a leader board spot will really get their attention.

 

3.  Some of the unique abilities or items that MP holds should be able to be transferred to SP as an elite soldier and someone that has used and mastered challenges associated with them in the MP.  These challenges should be difficult to complete.

 

4.  If there is PVP we should be able to take the loot of other players as we have our way with their corpse.

 

5.  We should be able to call in support from MP characters who are leveled up as a nod to the best of the best to help through SP battles and give them some intense flavor.  Also say hi to our favorite characters while we are not playing them.

I like the idea of optional player bonuses from multiplayer affecting singleplayer. As long as no story content is affected, this should be fine.

Yeah good idea.  Give the characters we know and love cameos in the SP.

I don't mind SP boosts for MP success.  I just don't want it tied to plot or characters at all.

 

I also hope fervently that the MP is not PVP.  If that's the case, I'll never play it once.

I don't see how they could do PvP, so many of the powers would be completely OP in a PvP setting. I seriously doubt that it would ever work.

I think that PvP would probably cause some major changes to gameplay. A lot of powers we enjoy would probably get chopped entirely. Do not want. If people want to play PvP they can just fire up Destiny. It's at least decent enough for that.

I'd rather MP not affect SP at all, personally.

 

Also, PvP should be thrown out of the airlock.

Most powers can be dodged.  PVP could be more shooter focused. They could add in defensive countermeasures.  I would also like to see a mode where you can bring your SP character into MP and fight a group of MP characters.  If anyone played the MP of MGS4 where someone got to play as Snake online vs a crew of people?  That was bad ass.

All excellent ideas OP. I'd go even more harsh and suggest penalties for people who don't play MP, say intergrating #2 and #5 a bit as well. Your LI should leave the PC for an MP character if your "galactic sexiness" drops too low. They should criticise your Edong/ Eboobs when you ask why.

Optional bonuses I can certainly see, but it should be nothing that effects any kind of story outcome.

MP should unlock extra hubs for you to investigate in single player. Oh and the remastered, redone, completely cohesive ME3 ending.

Point 2 strikes me as an obviously terrible idea.

Points 1 and 5 don't bother me. They'd probably make SP even easier than it already is, but that's not a problem.

Point 3 might also make the SP worse if you took the bonus, but it has an additional problem since I think a lot of SP-only players would hate this.

And point 4 is a pure MP thing.

I say bring on "openworld PvP" or, as close as one can get to it at least, pvp to the SP campaing too (make it optional if you want to). Imagine being able to enlist into a squad opposing the campaign protagonist(s)!

I think our MP character and SP character should be one and the same. So basically leveling up our character in MP will also level him up in SP and vice-versa. Same with loot. If we create pure carnage in MP and get the best of the best loot, we should be able to carry that over to SP.

Even better if our SP squad members recognize the awesomeness of our character if we kick butt in MP. Like the OP said, squad members who can only be romanced if you have a high MP score is a great idea.

If our SP and MP characters aren't going to be one and the same, then I want my MP characters to be recruitable as squad members in singleplayer.

Ideally if two different people are kicking major ass all the time, the human race(and all the rest) should at least pretend it's actually happening somewhere.
