I think people are just joking about that in this forum.
No. I mean yeah some are. There is a lot of butt hurt too though. I think some pretty strong arguments have been made that are hard to deny.

ME is about story and seeing and interacting with MP Characters in SP sound like a cool idea. I originally thought that would happen back when first watched the original ME3MP trailer
In any case I wouldn't mind these so long as they are optional, rather not see 50+ threads of people condemning the game for "forcing" them to play MP

I would like to see some interaction between the two modes personally. Nothing like locking the player out of a mission, or ending sequence, but a nod to the player's efforts in either part of the game.
One form of interaction I would like to see would be for the MP characters to show up as interactive assets in SP; again nothing restrictive or something that would give people who played MP an advantage; but something like swapping out 'generic Alliance soldier #306' with one of your multiplayer avatars, and then having him/her/it fighting alongside your PC when the Khet attack your outer world colony would be a nice touch.
NPCs having side conversations, or running into your MP characters hanging out in a bar somewhere talking about their deployments, a la Citadel DLC would be another nice touch; I would just ask that the cheesy-ness factor be scaled back a bit. I enjoy the occasional bought of humor, but I would like to see both the single player and multiplayer side of the game have a more mature tone to them.
My ideal form of interaction would come in the form of a variable cutscene, where the SP avatar can see his/her MP characters fighting enemy forces. Think of that scene from the battle of Earth in ME3 with the Krogan, Turian, and Asari all fighting the husks, or the variable armies marching to the Battle of Denerium in DA:O and make each 'actor' in the cinematic interchangeable allowing the 4-5 most recent MP promotions to be swapped in. That way you could have a squad of Krogan, or an elite team of Asari dealing with enemy forces and each would be customized by the player.

Good idea, here's my 2 cents:
The writers should write all chars, relationships, romances, everything relater to the "main squad" and then... write 2 or 3 extra "race neutral" stories and have them voiced by all possible MP races. Complete storylines, with personal quests, dialogue and romances and then keep these stories available for use.
When you promote a MP char, you could then add this "soul" to him/her, so you can have your favorite MP char as a full fleshed-out squadmember.
Expensive to do? yes. Technically challenging? Certainly. But imagine the good publicity if the idea is implemented properly.

I don't see how they could do PvP, so many of the powers would be completely OP in a PvP setting. I seriously doubt that it would ever work.
Yeah. Im not looking for any PVP play in MEA Multiplayer. I hope they keep it to cooperative multiplayer the way it is now, just better and enhanced.

Hmmm how about the MP crowd enjoy their MP and leave us poor folks enjoying our SP experience without shoving that RNG store microtransaction ridden mulitplayer component down our throat. You can knock yourself out with horde modes just leave it out of the SP game. Thank you!

you should read the OP. There are some great ideas that would really add realism and immersion to the SP mode as well, such as getting paychecks, being able to have your way with your enemy's corpse, and impressing potential romantic partners with your skills (because everyone knows girls only like guys with skills).

I hated the N7 missions in ME3 because it was clear to me that they were just padding and a cheap way to reuse the MP maps in singleplayer with very barebones story context. What I WOULD have liked to have seen was to see Bioware mimic MGS Peace Walker though like this:
You're playing SP and you go to the galaxy map and choose an N7 mission. A menu loads up and you have the choices
"Deploy Soldiers"
or
"Go there yourself"
If you deploy soldiers you then get the MP character select screen and you would either be able to launch it in single-player fashion where you had control of your MP character and his squad or you could deploy the MP character in a proper MP match, or you could send Shepard and it would play like the single-player N7 mission we got, but with maybe 3-4 variations of objectives.
It would make MP a part of the story, to make Shepard (or just Hackett) command your N7 or alien troops and give you the sense that the MP matches really are happening as part of the story while Shepard is on his quest to gather alliances and finish the crucible. It would also be completely optional, and gathering the same assets could be done as Shepard, whereas MP would've simply been more appealing to some because it would yield better MP customization rewards and upgrades. It would've also been cool to see Shepard be in charge of the MP selections, or maybe hear Shepard comment on your gameplay during MP lol.

I do think the MP should have story elements like a mini MP mission story line. But make it seperate from the SP.
