The Carnifex by the numbers nerf. Hate this kind of BioWare balancing.

Buddy, I've got all the time in the world. I've got money, no job, no cooking, no worries. And I spend it all on ME3mp or some other videogame. So don't be jelly and turn into a hater. Not cool.

And you guys think many aren't ignoring this forum too due to all the nonsense off topic and haters hanging around here? Man, you guys better look at yourselves and all the people not posting here anymore because of this. Also getting pms asking me what's with all the haters around here? I tell em not to worry; Life's been good to me. I'm always upbeat and in a good mood. Ain't got no time for hating or anger. Ever. Something many I see need to learn. Even folks who have no money issues and set for life, they got stress for some reason and have to get ointments to remove their bald spot forming in their crown due to stress alone. It's crazy.

I'm really going to regret this.
Your stance on nonsense topics is invalid. You in your many iterations have been a force in creating off topic posts as well as derailing posts.
Your delivery...you know what. Forget it.
Do your thing. Just know others have done it better. Have fun being derivative.

My priorities is still discussing ME3mp, otherwise I wouldn't be here, unlike some here.
Though I do feel guilty for removing the shackles off too many here, as all everyone here wants to do is talk off-topic now and only joke around. I need to re-invent my self with a more serious account. The return of the real Sinful from back when everything was more normal back here (as face it, BSN was never fully normal. But much better then this. Plus to many great posters got banned and other just don't want to bother with what BSN has become now is the other problem).
EDIT - hence all the garbage off-topic chit chat and lame topics. So, sorry guys. I'll man up and take the blame if need be.

And why did these great posters get banned? It couldn't be that someone was a cowardly snitch and had to report a bunch of stuff because it suited their agenda. I mean it's a great plan getting multiple accounts to make multiple **** posts to ****** everyone off then reporting someone when they justifiably lose their ****. Great plan to make everyone on a forum pretty much despise you anyways.
Then of course you have the same person complain about how the quality of the forum has diminished because they decided to **** the bed and now want to complain that it smells. Driveby moderation of course will never pick up on this because let's be honest they could give a big fat flying **** that us group of nut bags even have a forum right now. I'm convinced they would've locked the doors already if they didn't mind us spilling over into the "sensitive" forums.
Of course I'm not talking about anyone in particular just speaking aloud here.

^ I really could never figure out why folks assume I ever reported anyone? You'd think folks who finally resorted to blocking folks would be the higher suspects? Me, I prefer to use the mark forum read button above all. And can't stand any forum thread locking since time spent on other previous forums. Can't stress this enough. And reporting = the dreaded forum lock. Plus mods are like cops. And I love that Ice-T tune & did time myself.
And I learned first day in kindergarden that crying to teacher never solves anything.
I also don't hurt easily (that first day in kindergarden day finally made me a man). One poster said in a pm he couldn't figure out why so many hater hating on me and that they really are jerks. I said not to not worry or bother. Doesn't bother me one bit & everything is fine. Just let them be and lets not play their game. He said something like "Ok, if you don't want me to do anything about it. But I still think it's wrong." He or she was quite nice. And was glad to hear that I wasn't the only one detecting all the hate around here.
EDIT - spelled Ice-T wrong (I-Tea?).

Wait what? Didn't the only nerf Carnifex got was an increase to its weight? It's still a very capable weapon.
As for by the numbers balancing, yeah it sucks. It also ended over a couple years ago, time to let go.

Yes, but now it's totally obsolete to the Paladin. So totally pointless balance change based on silly BioWare by the popularity number lame balancing act. They really should of just focused on what's actually balanced and in relation to other weapons instead of playing this popularity game. I mean, it's not like it was popular for being crazy OP.

It doesn't hit as hard as the Pally but it has twice the capacity, definitely not obsolete if you ask me. And even then Carnifex is a rare and Pally is an ultra rare. Makes sense, no?

It's obsolete compared to the Paladin X, unless you are a headshot machine I guess. It's not obsolete compared to a low-level Paladin though.

Yes, makes sense. It's a valid opinion, alright. But I still think the the extra weight should never of been added. Especially since you now rarely see anyone ever using it at all. As even new pugs would rather use the much more pitiful GPSMG over it just because of weight. Despite the GPSMG being the most terrible on power focus kits due to ramp up. So yeah. The GPSMG design is totally flawed too. If BioWare new this too, instead of only caring about player pugs that dont understand this game stats, they would of noticed this too and properly fixed this and many other issues.
But yeah, I'm so surprised ME3mp is still so good. Like BioWare totally got lucky with this game. Which so worries me about the next ME game. Especially considering their current track record. So why not point out the real issues in hopes that some BioWare dev might catch on to what I'm saying here?

How many folks you see using Carnifex in pug land? And why isn't it on that player stats list in the OP?
And Paladin is still the better headshot machine because you don't want to waste extra time for extra bullets to the head. Thus Carnifex biggest saving grace was being light. For say, no passive builds. Or how pugs always love to bring more then one weapon.

But I really hate how some weapons totally overshadow others. Carnifex VS Paladin is a perfect example of this. As I can't even bring myself to choosing it over the Paladin anymore. Even for nerfing myself I can't stand to use it anymore over the Paladin.
The numbers say it all too regardless of weapon level of Paladin; https://docs.google....tput=html&gid=8 Plus the Paladin with Extended Mag is where it's at anyway. While Carnifex with EM feels strange too me. Shooting forever doing peanut dmg even with heashots. Just give me Paladin that makes headshots way more fun.
And I'm a person that has done the weapon challenges many times. More then anything else by a longshot.

1) That's because pugs are, for the most part, clueless and not very good at the game. Carnifex is not an easy weapon to use. It recoils hard, has a lot of spread, doesn't shoot as fast as some other pug favorites and you actually have to aim the damn thing to be effective. The GPSMG (as per your example) in contrast has zero recoil and a huge clip size. A much easier weapon to use for someone who doesn't want to put in the time and effort to git gud with a higher skill curve gun.
2) I don't get why you're so stuck up about the weight tbh. It weighs the same as the Pally and is light enough to be carried by casters without messing with cooldowns. It's not like if it was still as light as back in the day the .5s faster cooldown would suddenly make it popular.

A human engineer with a Carnifex X + heavy barrel V + AP IV will one shot headshot any unshielded humanoid aside from Phantoms, Pyros and Dragoons (which the Pally can't OSHS either) and the former will be left with a couple bars of health/armor left, i.e one followup bodyshot.
Don't get me wrong, Paladin is the better gun, but the Carnifex is much more capable than you give it credit for. Especially for a rare.

Well, yeah. That's my point. Most players/pugs don't know how to play the game yet BioWare used these player stats to balance the game. Why it's flawed logic.
And the way pugs use GPSMG is totally wrong. They only use it because it's light so they can power spam more often. Yet the weapon has a massive ramp up on top of low dps. Hence the serious design flaw in this weapon since it since only be used on weapon platforms, yet it's pitiful compared to other weapons weapon platform choices.

It's just an opinion. I'm fine if you have yours. Just so long as we each make our points about it on the matter.
And I'm saying by it being lighter it would actually have an advantage over the Paladin instead of none. Literally none. Not even the higher clip size helps it in my opinion. As it being lighter it would make it a great choice for no passive kits since you could still maintain 200% cooldown that way. Instead, I always roll Eagle to fit that bill in the Pistol department. Plus enough pugs love 200% cooldown, and it still takes enough time for them until it's maxed out for them to achieve this 200% cooldown. By the time it's at X, they move onto other things anyway. Why it's almost never seen in pug land and on the players stats in the OP that Eric Fagnan kindly shared with us.

Also, everything now a days is based on statistics. It's literally ruining everything everywhere. Like NBC executives tried to ruin Seinfeld with it, as an example (yet they now nothing and do more damage then any good. Why watching TV sucks and I don't bother with it anymore).

I do hate that they nerfed the Carnifex. It was a good gun that rewarded good aim but that requirement is exactly what prevented it from being an instant win button like the Reegar or Talon Merc.

Wait, what? The Paladin requires 2 headshots to kill on almost any setup (you may be able to mess around with headshot gear and Phasics to get a 1SK Paladin on the GI or DI, but why would you?). The Carnifex can be set up for 2-headshot kills on almost all mooks, on pretty much any class. If you're going to have a gun set up for 2-headshot kills, the gun with a bigger clip is going to perform better, at least with the headshot aspect.

M-6 Carnifex. I used that weapon a lot. It don't need a buff, I'm Commander Shepard, after all.
