My save got wrongly imported as Conrad Verner says something opposite to what I did in ME1. Strange. Anyone else have it?

PC or 360?
I think it's a bug with the PC version of ME1 where after a while, your save gets corrupted so that it says went all renegade on some things. I know for sure that one of the things that's bugged in ME1 PC saves is the side mission where you're going to a lab where biotic extremists have drugged the scientists so they wander around in the middle of a firefight. I know I completed that one perfectly with no civilian casualties. In ME1 even in the elevators after that mission it said it ended in a bloodbath, and now in ME2 on import it says the Sirta Foundation is going out of business due to not recovering from that bloodbath.
Same for Conrad I guess, which is disappointing since I wanted to see how he turned out, even though Renegade Conrad was funny. It all ends well though if you go paragon, Conrad finds his place in a helpful way according to later news casts.

Refresh my memory, who was Conrad? Was he the druggie outside the Flux? Or was he the fan?

I'm on the 360 and same problem. I paragonned with him in my import game, but he reacted to me as though I'd shoved the gun in his face (which I had in other plays, but I know not in this one, because it's from my most recent game, completed about 4 days ago). Thus far, it seems to be the only thing that imported wrong *knocks on wood*

conrad doesn't seem to be transfer over correctly, same with the consort if there is something involved with her. Always here about she may be leaving because of rumors of leaks and such.

Yes, the Conrad issue seems to be consistent.

Yes, Conrad, definitely. I think I got an email from the consort thanking me again or something, and I haven't heard the piece of news where they say that she's about to leave the Citadel.
The dialogue was priceless though. And the asari bartender actually did a real facepalm.

I also got the "you shoved a gun in my face" thing on the 360 when I convinced him to go home nicely.

Dang, well Im sure it will be fixed. They had to port over alot of different outcomes. I havent see conrad yet but it should be funny! Its so much awesomer to be a paragon too.
Side note:Turns out if your a spacer, your mom turned down an admiral promotion to stay a starship capt. I hope I get to see her again. Or rather talk to her.

I wonder if it's just a situation where they didn't bother to record any extra dialogue. Oh well, it makes no difference to the game really.

Add me into this group. It was an odd moment in the game.

Maybe thats what they intended to do with him? Because i actually DID shove a gun in his face, and he died before ME1 was even over, so im thinking that if you did the Renegade option, he wouldnt be in ME2 at all, and if you did the Paragon, he would act like it was renegade.

It seems odd that they would deliberately program a reaction the exact opposite of the way you treated the character in ME1. I'm on the bug/problem side myself.

Here's a question - has absolutely anyone had Conrad react *correctly*?

He reacted poorly to me, but later there was an announcement of how he started some charity for the saviors of the galaxy.

The funny thing is on the topic of the Consort, I've gotten both the email AND the overheard news announcement that announces her leaving the Citadel. Probably a glitch
Combined with the Conrad Verner gun-in-face glitch, plus the scientist rescue thing for Sirta Foundation (which I actually completely forgot about, a reason why I was puzzled about Sirta Foundation closing), there are a lot of missions not carrying over, so my guess is...
probably an oversight. Its perfectly logical that Bioware didn't manipulate the code correctly to activate the proper triggers in ME1 saves, and before I heard about the logged convos of Paragon-reaction Verner I would have said its logical they only put one result in for some of these situations to save time.
Either way its kinda a bummer (ruins a bit of the personal feel of each Shepard I created), but its nothing to cry over as far as I'm concerned. A patch would be cool but I can definately do without.
