Perhaps a medic class in the next game.
Maybe able to revive dead teammates, can revive faster than other classes, heal teammates with health pylons or shield generators, etc. It would be very interesting to see a true support class.

Any MP vet helping a SP scrub out.
Support class? How about some damn aerial bombardment?!!!
Even if BioWare made a true support class, BSN would find a way to make it an unbelievable OP killing kit. Then it would get nerfed. Then everyone would just throw a Venom on it and call it a day...

Edit : too late
Some ideas for powers of this medic class :
-Shield transfer : the player restores the shields of his teammate, at the cost of his own shield ;
-Protective sphere : something like the present biotic sphere, maybe with less radius but more DR, and some other options ;
-Temporary Fortification : the player gives to a teammate (only one) a source of DR but only for a short moment ;
- "Resurrection" (
) : the player has the ability to "resuscitate" a sync-killed teammate, but the process takes a long time (20s ?).
As for the standard revives, the medic class proceeds faster than the other classes, perhaps twice faster. This class could also covers other aspects of a support class, like boosting teammates abilities (damage, movement speed, etc.).
I would welcome any initiative that enhance the cooperative side of the game and increases the necessary coordination between players.
I would like all classes to have a passive ability, or get to add one by gear slots. Revive faster, revive after sync kill, disable device faster, make escort move faster (by counting player as 2 players in escort), pizza delivery doesn't slow walking speed (for console users and PC users who have souls
). I would like to see abilities that buff teammates in various ways (movement speed, shield recharge, damage output) that doesn't involve a stationary power. Items like supply pylon, biotic sphere, and the like promoted camping, which bioware seems to want to get rid of. So it would be nice to see powers than can achieve the same thing without needing to be stationary to work.
EDIT: Also, just as importantly, I'd like to see all these additions count someway in score, if they keep score. Doing objectives and helping teammates should get you more points than they do now. Not on topic, but related to my last sentence is I'd like to see more advanced stats available online. I'd like to view a specific game I played, see my teammates that game, and what everyone did. Breakdown how many kills, assists, how many of each enemy type they killed, among several dozen other stats.
Bioware needs an engineer kit with a field turret next time.
Uhm...
TC
HM
Arc grenades
How about that?

Did you ever play Brink?
Support classes could really dominate the scoreboard in that:

Top 3 on the scoreboard are a medic and 2 engineers... and that wasn't uncommon, the game was as objective based as kill based - if not more so.
Did you ever play Brink?
I did. And that's the last time I'll talk about Brink. That should give you an idea about what I thought about it. Pretty sweet idea let down by execution.

Score system is different in some coop games to favor support classes.
PvZ Garden Warfare you can top board consistently as an Engineer with the teleporter, turrets, and some stun assists along with occasional kills. Or as a scientist with healing teammates.
And I'm not saying that I want ME3MP to go totally that way but you do get more truly cooperative play that way.

Well, after thinking about it a little, I suppose this actually applies to both support and crutch classes.

Pugs need crutches. Hell some need a wheelchair class to carry them.
I dunno but I'd probably laugh at you for using it
Well how the **** would this be any different from any of the other classes I use? ![]()

Heh - I quite enjoyed it when you actually got roughly even teams... bit slower paced than TF2 and some of the objectives were absolutely stupid, especially with regards to the map design. The final stage of the "plant the bomb" mission was an absolute t*at - unless the defending team were completely rubbish it was almost impossible for the attackers.
So yeah "Pretty sweet idea let down by execution." just about sums it up unfortunately - had it's moments though.

Support class you say?
So what you're saying is the QME and QMI are support classes? Yes, I'd like more kits like that plz.

Heh - nah, those 2 kits are far too mobile and aggressive to be support classes - they're more Assault IMO:

A support class in ME would be a drunk Krogan sat in a bath of Ryncol with a mortar between his legs laughing maniacally every time he "fires his load" O_o
.... you'd have to cure the genophage in SP though, else the shells would all be duds.
I have a couple of ideas for support classes. All of them should have some sort of shield boosting ability that restores the shields of all teammates within a certain radius. And then maybe one of them could have a couple of debuff powers, one that has a small radius but can be quickly deployed and another that has a big radius but deploys slowly. Another one could have a pet... or maybe two pets that it can use to distract enemies. Another one could have a debuffing power that can also detonate explosions and a crowd control power like Submission Net or Stasis. I think those would all make good support classes.
