Most of us support by killing stuff. I petition for this to continue.

It would be hard to pull off with this game, I think. The numbers are skewed so heavily to the enemies at higher difficulties that killing quickly is always the best defense.

Vanilla humans. Hell, those things are so useless, we may as well let the AI control their impants so they can run around and revive us.

I must say it did. Perhaps now I am the joke. Laugh at me.

Life goes on.

All of them should have some sort of shield boosting ability that restores the shields of all teammates within a certain radius.  And then maybe one of them could have a couple of debuff powers, one that has a small radius but can be quickly deployed and another that has a big radius but deploys slowly.

So essentially, the Volus Engineer.

The challenge is making the support classes fun and interesting to play.  IMO, infiltration should be a support class only - there should be no damage evos available.  Instead of offering damage evos in the cloak tree, maybe offer increased duration / recharge speed vs. increased revive speed / movement speed while cloaked.

To make this hypothetical infiltrator class fun to play, give them an ability to either incapacitate groups of enemies with negligible damage, or perform a sync kill on a single non-armored target.  The sync kill animation should be quick and brutal, with some variety between instances.

To me a great support class is that that can help revive or keep them alive best. So something like;

- stagger resistance tanky kits a la Krogan/Batarians that can eat Prime Seige pulses for breakfast while reviving pugs + speed to reach all 3 skulls in time

- heal Turret GE/Jug

- Volus Engineer with Shield, Decoy/Drone agro/stagger dumps, speed to reach pugs dieing across the maps in time, ability to revive pugs much more easily due to cloak, and also being able to cast a drone over a dying pug that's about to get stomped for the save.

But yeah, I try to support the pugs too much sometimes. If I've still got the gels, rockets and ops to do so.

If they have Makos in MP, support would be a Johnny-on-the-spot mechanic going around fixing them.

If medic, then instead of two guns he can hold one gun and one healing grenade doohickey a la Evolve.

Or to mark targets for other teammates to take out.

I have no idea what teaching a class in being supportive would look like.

Same here, those pugs have somehow managed to work there way into my heart... but only if they're actually trying, else... let em' die!

It was a bit slow before the act break, but things became very exciting towards the end.
