If the conduit's purpose is to transport reapers to the citadel from wherever they stay at during these cycles then why do we repurpose it to transport us to wherever the reapers use to be at? Obviously by the time, we use it. The reapers would've been gone since they needed to go there without the conduit. I mean I guess that would assume that reapers can travel from one galaxy to the next in these cycles and not just star systems within the Milky Way.
