"NEVER BE BETTER THEN COMMANDER ME3MP."

I started this series after my first next gen game that I played just after ME3 release, and same year, with Skyrim (yes, I joined the next gen party that late. Retro fanboy at heart). Always heard about Mass Effect series since it was always mentioned as a top RPG others played on another RPG forum.

So after I played the heck out of Skyrim, I decided to try the free ME2 demo off XBL just before Christmas of that same year. Before I even finished it, I had the Trilogy in my hands, and started at the very start. Wow. I had no idea (Skyrim & ME series are still by far the best games I've played of that gen).

As I was playing, I also read up on ME3 having a mp addition too. My thoughts were just like everyone else. "Why did BioWare bother to waste resources on a straight up shooter that would not last forever because servers don't last forever. And they're even wasting precious sp dev time for DLCs too?! The outrage!"

"At least they removed the ending requirement so I can avoid it altogether."

I never started MP until I replayed the ME Trilogy on normal difficulty and with each consecutive replay increasing the difficulty up one, until I did Insanity for each one and then some. Love this series gameplay and rich sci-fi atmosphere as Omega & Citadel. So it was easy to stick with it just for that.

Not sure what made me finally start it. Guess being the huge ME fan I've become and finally starting to crave more of that awesome gameplay aspect of it that got better & more refined with release. For some reason I really loved this game's gameplay, even though I never got into fps shooters. So this series really surprised me and I couldn't get enough of it's gameplay (heard Gears of War is like this too, but no ME lore & stuff to go with it means it's still sitting on my shelf).

Anyway, once I finally started it, I was hooked instantly. I couldn't believe what I almost missed (and I really regret not being there before all but the last DLC got released). And the hours I've put into it defies belief & still going strong. Good times, and good memories. But one thing I also love of MP is finally being able to play as other races. What a kick. Even Volus too (remember hearing about this before and I was like "No way. A Volus too?!"). Why my fave kits are still the alien races since I always feel like the kit I'm playing each time. Role-player at heart, I guess.

I'm really glad I decided to join in on the greatness that is ME3mp. So just want some good nostalgia chit chat about how great this game is and hear others memories & early thoughts about this game. And were you excited for it or against it like me?

I played mp since it started. I have taken several breaks from it starting when they stopped doing challenges.

Liked because Commander Shepard song.

I was super-excited when they announced that ME3 would have MP. I was playing COD:BO pretty much every night at the time (no, I'm not a COD fangirl, I just like highly intensive combat but have no attention span, so COD's short matches suit me perfectly), but that ended pretty much as soon as ME3 came out.

MOAR MP pls.

It's ok now. You're home at BSN again to commence trolling to take it out on your sh1t job.

And misery needs company too. So go ahead and report me now.

Our first post of someone mentioning they were looking forward for ME3mp. And a grill too. Maybe they are superior to us after all?

And I'm listening to that Commander Shepard song right now as I'm checking BSN this morning (I keep hitting replay. Must of heard about it 6 times already? Has high replay value because I just use it as background noise while focusing on infiltrating BSN).

There is a realm of existence so far beyond your own you cannot even imagine it. I am beyond your comprehension. The pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

I think my hardest decision of the day shall be...orange Fanta or Dr. Pepper?   Also I just got these things I thought were licorice bites  called Red Vines : Fruit Vines Bites...they are not licorice,..they are the most delicious fruit snacks I think I have ever had.

I just finished watching Revolution  seasons 1 & 2 ..good thing it was cancelled. So boring. I only hung in there cuz I thought the blonde girl might get a little hotter //. nope. nice body but looks like someone smashed her face with a shovel. I think I am going to give Jericho another try  I stopped watching after 5 episodes.

Man, that show was torture. I celebrated when I heard the news. It had a good premise, but the execution was severely lacking.

Say no to Jericho btw. By the time season 2 rolled around, it was comical.

Yeah..I think the show's timeline should have begun the day after the lights went out. We could have seen how everything fell apart..that would have been interesting..Instead skip ahead 20 years and add in tiny robot magic..had some good parts I will say

BUMPEd  cuz my favorite Off topic thread was just closed..We shall resume here.  No, I havent seen True Detective. I am a Colin Farrell fan so I will get around to it sometime. Boogie, seriously  Supergirl does look like it could be a good series  plus she is hot  So at least we have that.

I was a bit late to joining MEMP. I watched Grim68 play the series and only started it for myself once ME3 was well into its release. Back then, I hated any multiplayer as well. Wasnt good at it, and in other games it didn't affect the story, so never bothered.

When I finally got to ME3, I was annoyed that I was being forced to play the MP to boost my readiness in the SP. Hell, I even tried the ipad app first, but that took way too long for any real progress.

Eventually, Grim68 talked me into playing the MP because he was enjoying it and they started doing "weekend challenges". Now here I am 3 years later, still playing this whenever I can

Dunno man. I'll probably give it a shot.

Liking season 2 of True Detective so far (ignore TABOULEH). It's got a lot to live up to though, considering how good season 1 was.

I was suuuuuper late to the ME3 Multiplayer party, but not b/c I didn't want to play it, only b/c I didn't know about the game. I watched the entire xcalizorz playthrough, went out and bought the game the next day, loved it, went out and bought the trilogy the day after, played through all the single player in ME, ME2, and ME3, (terrible ending, spoken about ad nauseum @ this point, I know, but still had to be stated) and then turnt my eyes to the multiplayer. After I started ME3MP, I wished to never play another MP game again, ever. I love this series, and cannot wait for Andromeda so I can throw all my other games away for good  :wizard:
