I don't know if it works on PC or not, or you're just joking, but I really want to boot up ME3 and try it just to see for myself.

Ravagers have a weird double hit area. Maybe that's what's happening?

I can't believe no one took interest in my incendiary ammo experience.  No one!

I'm serious about this!

I've noticed ravagers sometimes dying from the inciendiary effect and sometimes not - and sometimes been unpleasantly surprised when the one I assumed was dead ambled around a corner and killed me - but I'd always just assumed the difference was the number of times it had been shot, not whether or not the target was being observed.

Wait, were you scoped-in while you watched it die?  Does incendiary ammo's DOT suffer from hipfire penalty?

It could be, but does the camera capture it and render everything properly?

I know in some games, animations won't happen off-camera for a player in the same way that they would happen on-camera. You'll assume they do, and when the game wheels around when you turn the camera, it'll look like it happened, but sometimes it won't work as seamlessly as it could. Sometimes certain things won't trigger, and end up lost in the shuffle. I have no idea why that is, but is it possible that it's happening here?

Oh you.

EDIT - no!! I'm out of likes. Sorry. It's in the mail, panda.

Hmm?  :o

I'm gonna run out of likes soon tooooo

A fellow Canadian, several years ago I spent six months living in Perth.  It is isolated from the rest of the country, but is itself a lovely place - great people, perfect weather, beautiful scenery, decent nightlife for a small city.  Just whatever you do, don't travel to/from there by bus.  It's like crossing the prairies, but somehow much much more boring.

Sydney is basically Toronto with an Opera House instead of a SkyDome.  Take that for what you will (I actually like Toronto, but in most of our country it's de rigeur to hate it).

They do.   B)

Never been to Toronto but I love how in Sydney you can go to work in the city but less than hour drive you can wind down at the beach. It's a beautiful city, crowded yes, but there are a few secret spots ^^

*Puts Toronto on list*

You do know that almost all Europe speaks English? (although some French pretend that they don't  :P

They don't. Or badly. I think the Spanish are worse though.

And yes, German and English share very many words. Count to 10 in both languages. Practically the same thing.

It's funny, my German pen pal used to say English and French were very similar when I thought German and English were more similar. In fact English is a mish mash of Germanic, Gaelic, French and whatever.

So maybe French really is the language of love

This place needs a :heybaby: emote.

--------

Also Cyonan, that's pretty tough. I hope you'll have a great experience in Perth anyways. It's always a great experience to start in a new place. I just moved to London myself ;)

German and English are English based languages. Don't l listen to the Polish guy. He's just trolling.

Romanian and French are Latin based. Why I sometimes speak backwards. (But I really don't like the French language. Romanian sounds way more beautiful to me)

No, that's not it.  I never could figure it out. I just assumed it's a WAI moment.

Try it out.  An uncondoned easy way to test (almost as bad as those filthy pc haxors):

Grab a Jav for a DemoGirl, set for Reapers/Plat/Hydra and hop up on the douchbagpinnacle (aka hydra dirty cheater spot).  Use a sniper amp and Incendiary IV.  Eventually the enemies will spawn directly across from you.  I don't know why, but the enemies don't move (probably because they can't figure out where you are?).  Ravagers spawn in twos there, so should make this test rather easy.

You don't have to stay scoped in on it.  Just keep the reticle near so you can still see the health bar...  tick tick tick dead.  Try it again on the second one, but move the reticle away so you can't see the health bar.  No dead.

Sneaky Reapers...

Hmmm...  Never considered that idea.  I've seen more odd garbage than this, so I wouldn't rule out your idea...

Yeah yeah of course both are Germanic languages. But English was influenced (and invaded) a lot by France so you find A LOT of French words in the English language. Basically when I don't know a word, I can try to guess and make up something based on French. Most of the time there's "literate" version of a word that sounds like French.

And I haven't heard a lot of Romanian. I can't really say I love how French sounds as it's just... normal to me xD

These things happen. Sometimes people don't care about you as much as you thought they did =P

Either way I get to travel which is something I've always wanted to do, so I got that.

Nope, and I'm not sure....

Ammo powers do suffer normally from the hipfire penalty, although I would think that once the fire DoT is applied it can't be touched by it.

I'll have to break out the testing equipment one of these days.

Look, I know these languages. Someone asked about languages. I wanted to help and give good advice.

So I don't want to start trouble, nor is it my style.

Well internet relationship can be disappointing that way. I don't know much about what happened to you but from personal experience, I would say it's really hard to have a serious relationship over the internet. If you add long distance and young age, it's not easy to commit. Anyways travelling is great! I still have to see Australia but the 24h in a plane sort of put it at the bottom of my travel list.

-------

As for the whole language convo:

https://en.wikipedia...nglish_language

https://en.wikipedia...f_French_origin

According to different sources, 45% of all English words have a French origin.

You are getting too technical. German and English share much. Unlike English and Latin, which is quite different and backwards to one another.

And if it weren't for my German, English probably would of been very hard for me to learn as everybody says. Plus would of had a heavier accent (right now only a few notice a slight accent when I speak English. Others are like "What accent? Shut up foo and lets fight!" Lets ask nat in the hat, and others that heard me over ME3mp chat, if I have an accent).

I'd love to stay here and follow more of the awesomeness that is this educational, vacational and incindiary ammo burning thread. But I need a vacation (Romania sounds nice). Been BSN'ing all day. This must be like my new record. Need to start priority mission 101 tomorrow - the "Get a life" one. So good night, BSN. It's been a blast from the past today, And don't let the BioMods bite before I finish reading the rest of the posts here in the morning. Hasta la vista, baby BSN. And...

And I thought it is only me, who thinks that this whole DoT seems always more effective, as long as you focus on the enemy!

Same with Dark Channel, ... as long I can see e.g. a Bashee, DC is burning through her Barriers and Armor within seconds.

As soon as I loose the focus, it does nothing.

... as German, I have to be precise regarding to the language topic:

English and German are Werst - Germanic Languages (as part of the Indo-Eurpoean langugaes).

very impressive picture:
