As a forum dweller and occasional troll it pains me to say this, but some of us are batsh*t insane.  And as such our advice is not to be trusted.

 

Don't listen to forum dwellers ... but try to interact with them, it's good for growing a thick skin.

 

If you don't have a thick skin you will never be a good game developer, you will hate your audience and no good games come from that.

They don't need a thick skin, they just need a judicious application of the ban hammer. Contrary to popular belief on gaming forums, being here is a privilege, not a right. Revoke it enough times, and people will start to get the message, or, they won't and will have to just take longer vacations.

Somebody asked a few weeks ago what "BSN" meant. Made me realize that the thing called the BSN actually no longer exists.
