Hold all thanks before giving praise they may or may not deserve.

The cynical old fart i am, i usually tend to agree, BUT... no.

Thank you, Bioware, for another Mass Effect.

If you bust it, i will hate you with passion, but that is not the point.

The point is, there will be a new game in this wonderful universe.

And in this case, i appreciate solely the intention of continue it.

This is a new chance for everyone.

For us, the players, to have fun, for you (and EA...) to earn  a shitload of money, if you do it right (its unlikely but possible, you done before).

People may want to lapidate me, but i am one of your potential customers, who would pay 20 bucks every month for a well-made content DLC in the mass effect universe...

...a new planet in Andromeda to explore... or a new companion...

Errrr.., they have given us a title????? That's ALL.., it may be a total crock of S@#%..., but I will say thank you for that last 3 Mass Effects. (ending didn't bother me).

So Thank You EA and remember the first rule of gaming, "DON'T SUCK". :D

Cheers

I would rather have Mass Effect continue then let it die. I do not even care knowing that Shepard is not the main character.

Bioware could have easily just left the brand alone after ME3 and they would have been justified. However considering that they see our passion for the brand and wanting to universe to continue, I really applaud them for making ME:A. Hopefully, this turns out to be another enjoyable trilogy. :)

To me, Mass Effect is Bioware's best brand.

I am a little sad knowing that I will need to fight outside of the Milky Way. But honestly, there are only a few locations in the first three Mass Effect's that I actually miss. Illium, Omega, Earth, there is one more but I do not know how to spell it. What is wrong with touring the universe? While I will miss the Milky Way, I am excited to see more.

I have been a BioWare fan sense before they became a branch of EA. And I am happy to put a little bit of trust in them. I already know the next Mass Effect will not be 100% perfect, but I will most likely love it still. Mass Effect 3 is far from perfect in my book, but I still love that chapter.

And I do not want the Mass Effect universe to die out. It was heartbreaking enough to watch other space fictions go: Firefly, Farscape, Stargate... et cetera.

While there is money in it EA wont abandon it. Even if the only thing reminding you that you are playing ME is the title itself. The franchise will live on whatever it turns into. Dont worry. The reputation of BW brand is still pretty good, it will take a lot of time to destroy it utterly when it happens eventually in the care of EA. This cow is far from dead yet. The milk is very sweet from it.

We get Nothing! Seriously - who'd want to give people like us anything?

I agree with those here stating that Bioware is not doing creating ME:A out of the goodness of their hearts. There is a huge monetary incentive for them. That being said, it does not mean that we can't be nice and thank them for it. They may have only given us a title and a really interesting trailer but that's enough for me.

So thank you Bioware for keeping ME alive. It holds a special place in my heart and I am grateful for the chance to return to it. Please, please make it a labour of love and let it exceed expectations and set the standard.

I was not talking about EA... I was talking about BioWare. Well, mainly the people who are responsible for another Mass Effect.

Bioware should quit EA and find another publisher then I can re-think everything

That ship sailed years ago, BioWare is a division of EA now. They can not leave, mainly because "they" don't exist as seperate entity anymore. BioWare is EA.

They could, in theory, quit and start anew.

That said, I have no reason to believe that they want to. I can't say that's something I wish would happen, either.

The individuals working at EA BioWare could quit, sure. BioWare itself? Nope.

Definitely not thanking them this early on. I have no idea what they'll be unleashing on us when the actual game is released.

:Sigh: Bioware fans are pretty ridiculous, whether they are hating on something they have yet to experience or thanking someone for taking their money.

I'm glad they are doing another ME game, although had they announced this three years ago, I wouldn't have been as engaged, since back then, I was determined it should all end with ME3. Now, however, i'm looking forward to a new ME game.

I think this game will be a trilogy.  Wouldn't make sense to make this a standalone.
