You know what this game needs? A DLC where some future Venatori cultist rediscovers Alexius' research and time travels back to try and prevent you from beating Corypheus. Or perhaps he sends back a golem. Yeah, the V-1000. Made out of liquid Silverite.
C'mon, wouldn't that be the best DLC ever? They could totally break the entire game storyline up, have you revisit all the story missions but you have to hide in the background and make sure that Past You never sees Future You or it could create a Paradox that might Destroy All Of Time. And you have to do things to make sure that the events of the story turn out properly.
Also you can go back and save either the Templars or the Mages, whichever one you DIDN'T do the first time through.
And then, for your final mission, you return to the very moment of the breach--the line past which time travel cannot reach, because for time travel to work, the Breach must occur--and you have a final battle with the V-1000 IN THE FADE, where the past you is killed and the future you must replace them, creating a loop that can only be escaped by convincing the Nightmare to steal your memories while leaving a very specific set of clues that will enable you to prevent the creation of the V-1000 and repair the timeline, those clues including:

Halla Statues
Sutherland & Co
Morrigan's Original Robes
Everything That Was Seen In Promotional Videos But Didn't Make It Into The Game
A shield made out of a wheel of cheese
Zombie Anders
