Between the armour sets and the accessories, I have very little room for weapons.

I am rocking 117 pieces of armour (38 mage sets, 42 rogue sets and 37 warrior sets) which is not even all possible to craft armours. Combine this with accessories (I have 8 amulets, 11 belts and 67 rings for a total of 86) and 203 of the available slots are gone. Add 20 runes (5 of each, just in case something good drops) and a few armour upgrades and I have to salvage after every chest.

I'm not exactly hoarding here, and would really appreciate some help.

And for those thinking about the rings, that is 47 ability rings plus 2 each of Armor / Guard / Barrier Penetration, Critical Chance / Damage, Life Drain, Staggering, Sundering, Attack and Flanking. Some of those I am never likely to use, but I have them just in case.

I feel your pain. I think that at least armor shouldn't take up inventory space because it is unsalvageable. That would save a lot of space but we could always use more.

I've reached the point where I always need to salvage something before I can craft or access the store, so I can definitely get behind this. I'm already considering salvaging some of my dragon weapons.

OP could not be more right.

I have many armours.  I prefer to play warriours and I have ALL of the sets...even the less than superiour ones.  I can't even salvage them and they take up soooooooo much room.  I have 2 of each stat ring, a few ability rings with other accessories and just the top tieur weapons of each type and I can barely hold anymoure.

We seriously need moure space.

Who dares wins!

I agree totally. We should definitely be able to scrap the useless armor. Also when the 3 New characters dropped, the inventory space should have been expanded.

I didn't think the armor took up inventory space, that's messed up if it does considering the large amount that drops out of chests of the basic sets and then to get the higher tier set, you have to craft two damn sets, ugh.

I don't keep a lot of the ability rings just because of the lack of space for them. Many of them don't even work anyways. I'll probably even scrap my static cage ring now - one of the few ability rings that I did use since it got nerfed to useless status.

When new gear gets added to the game. *cough* rumored DLC *cough* (never had beta, so NDA... umm doesnt apply) will most likely result in these forums being flooded with posts asking for more space.

But as the game is currently. There is no need for extra space at all. If you are running out of space it is cause you are hoarding items.

i have never ran out of space in DA:I and gotten the message that I need to salvage items.

If there was a way to track a players item manifest, I would most likely have obtained 90-95% of the items. I have only kept lvl 18+ purples or even some blues on rare occasion they might have a great proc on them.

my gear

-40 weapons, not counting the default items you cant salvage. All of which are 18+. 9 of the 40 are blue lvl 18+ the other 31 are purple 18+. No duplicates of any weapon except dragon daggers. Only missing 7 or so weapons, sulevin, PBM, CR bow, emperor shield, everlasting shield, and the 2 decent/good maces

-160 armors crafted, Every armor crafted for the base 12 characters. 3 armors for each of the 3 newest characters.

-75 accessories. 46 of which are abilty rings. Missing crit dmg rings and 2x 10% HoK rings (currently only have 1 5% HoK ring) Only ablity ring I believe I am missing is a stonefist ring if such a thing exists. 1 of each purple belt, 1 of each purple amulet.

-22 arm and leg upgrades - each armor crafted with the exception of 1 has an arm and leg upgrade in the armor.

- 12 superb runes, 3 of each type,

If the limit is truly 500 items max. I still have 175+ slots available. I dont see the need for any more inventory space for the life of DAMP

Only way to even hit the cap is if you have saved every single weapon you have ever came accross. Only salvaging the duplicates. And/or you are sitting on 100+ of the upgrades. If you have a silver and blue accessory that corresponds with a purple version. I highly suggest you salvage the lower tier gear. Unless you equip low tier gear to challenge yourself when you play.

I cant tell you how many times I have salvaged an audacity before Izzy came out. Was lucky enough to find one last week in a treasure room during a run.

I am 4 armors away from having them all. Still haven't had a problem with inventory. All the best purples for accessories and multiples of caliban, griffon etc. My non-scientific analysis says armors don't count.

Being serious now, we need more space. We also need to be able to salvage armors and inquisition gear.

Armors shouldn't but do count.

I was crafting some armors earlier tonight, the first 5 went perfectly fine, then it hanged on the 6th. After joining a friend's lobby to get out of that infinite loop, I went back to crafting armors and got the message my inventory was full. Those armors I crafted did take up inventory space. Sure enough, I salvaged a couple upgrades and now I could craft armors again.

Armors do count, we need more space.

Agreed.  I wouldn't even mind having to spend gold on more space.  Need to spend my little pile of gold on something...

If the rumors that a bunch of new items are being added are true, even a slight inventory expansion seems sensible.

Or, hey, just don't count armors. Easy 50 slots right there for most players, I'd think. Decent amount to work with.

THIS.

Plus I would love if they expanded on how the inventory is handled all together.

Personally I'd like to have a specific unsalvageable slot for every weapon (2 for daggers) + specific armor, and have it reserved for that specific item. Then perhaps an additional 255 from there for extras, upgrade, etc. I want to Pokemon them all, gosh darn it!

Heck you could even have that "reserved" weapon's stats be upgraded with every better version you're able to grab which would streamline things.

By making these reserved slots unsalvageable, that would help keep accidental salvaging to a minimum.

Only thing that I could see really being a problem is transferring upgrades, but you could just make that automatic as well to solve that.

Finally snazzy it up with a nice weapon case lookin' set of screens. Disco ball and cheese wheels optional.

Sorry Bioware that I am such a hoarder...

It'd also be cool to see how many dragon calls you have. It'd be nice even to see how many the other people in your party have. That way you could keep people honest on the dragon maps.   :P

I would honestly love to see some pics of everybody's complete inventory. I dont see how you can run out of space at all. That is unless your sitting on 100+ upgrades, while also sitting on 100's of weapons.

I understand what it is like to be a hoarder. I kept every unique weapon and armor I found in DA:O, DA2, insert other games here. Regardless of how good or bad it was. But I never kept any low lvl gear or sitting on tons mods/upgrades for weapons armor etc.

I think everybody crying about needing space, has way more items than they will ever need. Tell me, what is your reasoning for holding onto 5 griffon bows (as an example)?

Now if this was D3, I would totally get behind the need for more space. Only having 5 stash tabs for 6 classes, crafting mats, and gems is no where near enough.
